The experience was good expecially the hostess she was friendly and welcoming to be precised Redempter and Calvin Kaka. The ambiance is very nice and swimming pools. I am happy about the kids room and will recommend a full time kids attendant and games to keep them busy....kindly think about entertainment especially very good music like Jazz and country music. I will more than glad to come back .

My experience was amazing. Beautiful hotel, really friendly staff, clean facilities, a really beautiful view of the ocean. I particularly enjoyed being served by the hostess Redemptor. Cheerful and super friendly. Would definitely recommend

We went for dinner after it was hyped up as an upscale, historical hotel and restaurant. Not impressed at all. They did seat us in main dining room (we were only allowed to book "the Bar" when we called. Our server was great, but the food was average; main fish entree dry and uninspiring for all of us. Crowd in restaurant not dressed up at all and very, very loud with screaming kids. Lighting very bright "poor mood lighting". I would PASS!

Hemingways Watamu is a gem of a place. The staff are very attentive, helpful and amiable ensuring you enjoy your stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, great thanks to Husna and the GM. I would definitely recommend Hemingways to anyone looking for tranquil and quality vacation time while you’re pampered.

Stayed here for 5 nights after a week long safari as part of our honeymoon experience and wow, it was truly fantastic! The staff (from housekeeping to pool guys, from dining room to bar staff), the food, the room, the views - we felt like royalty and totally spoilt. Thank you so, so much to all of you xx Please note that we went in August so the beach was more seaweed than golden sand which was not ideal. Also you are limited to stay within the grounds so no lengthy walks.

View from the rooms, sit in balcony relax, sunrise and sunsets are amazing, watch the tide come in enjoy swimming in the warm Indian ocean. Take long beach walks. Best massage at the hotel. Food is good. Service and staff very friendly. Quiet and clean grouds, nice landscape.

Lovely resort. Staff were very kind and friendly. The bar and restaurant are very well appointed; I think they refurbished it not that long ago. The menu was extensive and the food good quality.
Good pools, including a ‘quiet pool’, which is such a great addition.
We had a lovely spacious room with sea view. Everything was clean and in good working order, nice bed and linens. The AC was working just like you’d want it to and made relatively little sound. Perhaps the bathroom could do with a little touch up.
I would love to stay here again!
