We stayed July 23-25 in a standard room facing the pond in the back. I will start with the good things. The view from our room was nice because the pond and the forest are always more relaxing than looking at the parking lot. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We had an excellent supper at the Fredrich restaurant in the hotel. The prime rib was amazing, and my wife had elk ravioli that was very good. One thing to remember is that Fredrich is only open for supper from Thursday to Saturday, 5-11 pm, not every day. They are open 7:30 am-2:30 pm each day for breakfast and lunch. We also had lunch at the Wyld pub onsite, and it was very good. We had a package that got us chocolate-covered strawberries each day, with a small bottle of champagne, and both were very good. The people onsite were very nice to deal with. Now to the issues that I had there. The room water pressure for the shower was very weak and barely had enough pressure to reach the back of the bathtub. I had to unclog about 30% of the shower head holes because there was so much calcium deposit in them. I would recommend that they use a calcium cleaner on the shower heads or have the cleaning staff use a brush to scrub off the calcium after each stay. The plug for the sink in the room did not seal properly, so that when I tried to shave, I had to leave the water running to have enough water in the sink to rinse my razor. With my package, we had a $30 gift card to the restaurants onsite and a free private sauna. The $30 gift certificate they gave me expired in June, and when I tried to use it at the Wyld restaurant, they were not going to give me the discount. I had just gotten that gift certificate from the front desk the day before. I told the server that this is not my problem, and they need to honor the gift certificate. After talking to the manager, they did. How hard is it to check the date of the certificate you give out, or better yet, don't have an expiration date on them at all. The sauna was something new that they had on site since the winter of 2025. It is a wood-burning sauna that we looked forward to. We booked it for 2 pm, and at about 1:30 pm, the front desk called me and said that they had run out of wood and would have to reschedule our sauna time. Talk about not being organized. I was not very happy, but decided it might be nice to do it before we head to bed, so I rebooked our sauna for 9 pm. My wife and I came down to the front desk at 8:55 pm, and the ladies there told me that the person who takes care of the sauna has been busy today and has not had time to set it, so it would not be ready to use until 10 pm. You would think that after you run out of firewood for my first appointment that you would make sure that it's ready for my next one. Don't bring in a new service to your hotel if you can't run it properly. The one other complaint was that my room had no do not disturb sign for the door, and twice we had people try to come into the room while we were in it.

We stayed at Elkridge on the lake and the location is perfect. We had access to The Elkridge amenities pool, park and that was great for the kids! The 3 bedroom hotel we stayed in could REALLY use some upgrades. Stayed there 3 years ago and nothing has been upgraded. The bathroom taps are probably from when it was first built and really strange to figure out! The portable air conditioner leaks and only available in one room. The kitchen taps turns off when it wants to and the ceiling fans were filthy and blew dust bunnies everywhere! This is supposed to be “Elkridge” but did not seem up to their standards. Feel for the price we paid was not up to “Elkridge” standards! Please clean it up and do better!

Great stay! Very clean and comfortable room. Staff were great. Awesome location. We very much enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The food at the main lodge and the Wild was very good. We certainly would stay here again if given the opportunity. The grounds are lovely and very well kept.

We stayed in the lodge and the rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The pool wasn't the cleanest I have ever used but the hotel was full and it was busy so hopefully that was just a temporary oversight. Everything else about our stay was enjoyable, we hiked and golfed and ate at both Fredrick's and The Wyld. Service was excellent, especially from a young man named Ryland at the Wyld who went above and beyond to make sure our group had a great experience. We try to visit Elk Ridge at least once every summer and it doesn't disappoint if you are looking for an adult relaxing vacation.

This review is written as Saskatchewan is battling a series of wildfires that have closed many northern fishing and hunting lodges. However, Elk Ridge Resort is not one of them and in fact there where were blue skies the entire three days I visited. The lodge is an imposing modern wooden structure that fits in very well with the landscape. The rooms are comfortable and up to date with fridges, smart TV, excellent wifi and nice toiletries. All have patios or balconies. There are two restaurants, one primarily for breakfast and then later in the day doubles as a cocktail lounge. BTW the cocktails here are innovative and really good. The Wyld restaurant is in the clubhouse and a great place for lunch after a round of golf. The main attraction is the 27 hole golf course that is among the best in the province. The Birch nine is very challenging while the Aspen and Tamarack nines are more forgiving. The carts have a very modern GPS system and the rental clubs are top notch. The other attraction is the resort's proximity to nearby Prince Albert National Park and the resort town of Waskesieu where there are a lot more restaurants, shops and outdoor activities. However, none of the accommodations in Waskesieu are a true resort like Elk Ridge. It is a very viable alternative to staying in the park. If you are an avid golfer this place should be on your radar.

Everything about Elk Ridge is fantastic, but the one key thing we appreciate is all the staff and how accommodating regardless of where they are working at the resort. The same is true for the staff in the summer at the golf course. Any time you pass an ElkRidge employee at any time of the year they are friendly and eager to assist you with any areas you may be looking for help.

Our family of eight stayed in one of the 3 bedroom townhouses for three nights during Family Week. We were somewhat disappointed with the upkeep of the place. The dishwasher wouldn't wash dishes properly, let alone drain. The toaster didn't work. The shower and faucet in upstairs bathroom needed fixing and the bathroom closet door, once opened, wouldn't close. The loft railing had a broken spindle which is dangerous for small children. We had to wash our own towels because if you needed more, you had to pay $25.00. This accommodation was expensive and yes, it was Family Week and we we're ready to pay the price, but please, check out the place before you rent it out and make sure everything works properly!!

It’s always a fun time at Elkridge with so many activities available that include equipment to borrow. We were a group of 5 adults. The skating ice was in great shape and we played Mini Ice Golf, mini Curling and went tubing and swimming. In past years our group also skied, snowshoed and hiked. Our cottage was so clean and had a full kitchen of whatever utensils, pots and dishes we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. We finished the weekend with lunch at the beautiful Frederich restaurant.

The property is beautiful and scenic ! Comfortable stay. But the management doesn't direct you properly with what we should do apart from just staying there. I see lot of activities mentioned in their website but we were not guided enough on what we can do when. The food quality definitely needs improvement. We do not have much restaurants around.
