There were 25$ vouchers for the hotel's bar and restaurant that you actually pay for with the deposit. Additionally, parking was 50$ a day and the staff will not let you know that it is not included with the reservation. The hallways also sometimes smelled of smoking and *****.

Indifferent and unprofessional front desk. Elevators that barely work. Rooms in disrepair (I was missing two closet doors, and a ripped carpet, damaged floorboard). Terrible lighting in the bathroom. Sheets that don’t fit the bed. Lackluster housekeeping. And the worst part - and AC that turns on and off every 2 minutes disrupting your sleep and barely cooling the room (this is mentioned in other reviews as well).

This used to be a favorite hotel but there was no internet during my stay and then the electricity went out the entire morning of my departure. Major fail for this place and I won’t be coming back.

I love this hotel. This is my fourth time here. The food, cleanliness was great. The front desk staff Demarcus was very hospitable. The bar staff amazing. I will be back again soon.

We come often since we work in DC and every time it is a great experience! Marcus goes above and beyond every single time with no fail. He makes us feel welcomed and is honestly the reason we continue to come back. This place feels like a home away from home now. He is the best !

Beautiful hotel. Historic looking. Rooms aging but still ok. The AC though was awful. The repair guy said to turn it on and off. It would kick off 2 min after restarting and didn’t always restart. Front desk said it’s an efficiency thing. We said it was unbearable and humid (outside was 90+ for days) and they said it’s a known flaw. We’re not even people who love cold, our house is kept at 77. Could not sleep due to heat. Also the “king” pullout is a queen mattresses on a king sized spring, very thin and worn out, our back were hurting and rolling towards each other, we ended up putting the mattress on the floor.

Amazing hospitality, everyone was kind and welcoming, thanks specifically to Marcus for making our stay more memorable The rooms are spacious, and they maintain them very clean, beds are comfortable and the bistro downstairs is delicious
