The location of this older inn, is right on the water. It was very clean and due to quiet hours from 10pm-8am, it was very quiet. Check in was easy for all but one couple in our group. There was some confusion at night, with their registration and key cards, but all was settled. Rick greeted all of us in the afternoon and we enjoyed meeting him. No breakfast was offered at this location.

It was a nice clean hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The mattress was one of the most confortable I have had at a hotel.
If you need a place to stay in the Ashland/Washburn/Bayfield area, this is the one I would recommend.

We liked it. We would have loved to have half-and-half for the coffee. And my knees would have loved an elevator.
So obviously, we have no major complaints! The staff there were friendly and helpful. Thank you!

The Washburn Inn is lovely. Great staff, service, and location. The marina is lovely and the setting is peaceful. I would totally stay here again.

No elevator. No breakfast. Had to call the desk for help getting the air conditioner working. The absolute worst part was after I got my credit card statement to discover that I had been charged twice for the days we stayed. When I called to dispute the charge, the phone number took me to the parent company with no customer service number so I had to listen to a series of recorded numbers for issues that did not include a disputed charge.

The Hotel is clean, the staff friendly, the bed was comfortable and hot coffee in the morning. A very nice place. Yes, there’s no elevator(it’s only a two story hotel) and no breakfast. But we were able to survive the caveman conditions and enjoyed our stay Thanks

There was no all night coffee pot, no vending machines, no continental breakfast, and no elevator. All for just 250 bucks a night! That being said the staff was very pleasant to talk to. And had a wonderful view of the lake. Plus other guests staying here seemed very nice too.

It was a 2-night trip. I had a dream. The Washburn Inn is an older motel on the shore of Lake Superior, east side of the Apostle Islands National Park. We stayed for a couple of week nights and it was a quiet time, early August. The staff were nice and helpful. The room was clean with solid curtains that held back the morning sun. It's not fancy and may have a lingering odor of the days of smoking inside.
