В отеле мы были единственными гостями. Для нас приготовили вкусный ужин. WiFi есть только на ресепшен и ограничен по объёму. На день нам хватило.
Мы ездили на ночное сафари, но не увидели никого, кроме виверы. А сотрудники отеля были отличные, интересно пообщались с ними.
В целом отелем довольны, хоть он и дороговат, как и все отели Намибии.

It's not entirely clear the level that Hobatere is aiming at. I think it would like to be quite upmarket. If so, it needs to attend to some basics. There is coffee and tea in the rooms but no means of heating water. You have to go to reception and collect a flask. Nor, indeed, is there any drinking water in the rooms. The dining area is a bit soulless and there were no choices on the dinner menu. My stay (three nights) wasn't at all unpleasant but there are better places out there.

Nahe Etosha, aber 30 Minuten Feldweg zu fahren. Sehr schöne Lage, ruhig (wenn keine Gruppe da). Zimmer eher einfach, aber völlig ok. Mit eigener Terrasse und schönem Blick. Gutes Essen, nettes Personal. Schöner Blick von Hauptterrasse. Abends Feuerchen.

This property is overpriced: accommodation is average, service is below average, the so called private concession has no fences our boundaries to animals can easily move too the real Etosha National Park, which the most of the time do, so don't book their - also overpriced - game drives. The head office of this firm is based in South Africa, and they have no connectivity with local staff. Staff is not well trained, not informed about booking details and generally has no clue (some only started a week before we arrived).

Merveilleux! Expérience Tree House inoubliable!
Nous y sommes restés une nuit, initialement prévu en lodge, nous avons finalement choisi d'opter pour la "Tree house" (cabane dans un arbre au milieu de la réserve mais tout en sécurité), une expérience inoubliable que nous recommandons! C'est une cabane de luxe avec un grande terrasse perchée à 5 mètres de hauteur où l'on dîne en amoureux face à un plan d'eau où viennent boire les animaux.
Cet établissement possède une immense réserve où il y a notamment des lions et lionnes, qui sont leurs animaux phares.
Le lieu est vraiment très beau car même sur l'immense terrasse de l'établissement (petit-déjeuner et dîner) on a une belle et grande vue sur des plans d'eau et un paysage de savane. Merveilleux.
Mention spéciale pour le personnel et sa manager qui ont été incroyablement efficaces et compétents, et tout particulièrement attentionnés avec nous.
Nous avons vraiment préférés "Hobatere Lodge" à sa petite soeur "Grootberg Lodge" qui se trouve dans les montagnes, où nous y avons également dormi. Le confort à Habatere est meilleur.
Nous espérons y revenir dans le futur.

We have stayed at Hobatere Lodge a few times now and it provides a great place to access Etosha Park from whilst having its own interests and activities. The food is always really good.

Very attentive and friendly staff and excellent food. However, there was a strange odour in the bathroom (possibly insecticide?) and the shower cubicle was leaking. Due to the heavy rains it was difficult to find animals during the game drive. To summarise, the Hobatere Lodge is highly recommended, we really enjoyed our stay.

Die Anreise vom Gate ist schon ein Abenteuer. Die Lodge befindet sich in sehr schöner Lage mitten in der afrikanischen Landschaft.
