The dining room at the Warkworth House hotel is warm and welcoming. The choice from the menu is ample and the food is cooked to perfection. The amount of vegetables offered is astonishing and the attentive service second to none. Cannot wait for a return visit.

Visited this hotel in the hope of a quiet & calm oasis away from my Chemo treatment, and I wasn't disappointed. All the staff from start to finish of our 2 night stay were friendly & treated us like treasured guests, nothing too much bother. Stayed in Room 2 on first floor, which even though it faced the main street, traffic didn't bother us. Both Tea & coffee making facilities were provided, as was a little milk bottle in the mini fridge, and the bathroom was well stocked with gels & shampoos. Bed very comfortable, best nights sleep in ages. Interestingly, being a Georgian building. the hotel has settled a little bit and the floor in the room was a little quirky, but that added to the experience, not a drawback. Breakfast very good with lots of choice; Yogurts, pastries, cereals, fruit, fruit juice, full fry, kippers, salmon, and my favourite, Eggs Benedict; all washed down with as much tea & coffee you could handle. In fact a great way to start the day. We also ate in the hotel restaurant, No 16, food was good, see different review. As regards parking, there are about 10 spaces at the back of the hotel, otherwise park in Dial square. Overall a great 2 night stay. I achieved my respite (staff never knew I was under treatment), and have earmarked a return visit in the next few months.

Another fabulous meal at our favourite place topped off with Trev’s seaman shanties on a bar stool. Made the evening along with Sharon’s personable friendly approach as always! Being a coeliac love that most of the meals are gluten free. We will be back very soon. Julie, Andrew & Henry

This is an old building so has the quirks of one. We stayed three nights in room 23 on the second floor. It had a double bed, which was not very comfortable, an en-suite shower and all the normal things you expect in a hotel room. Dogs are allowed to stay but not on the second floor or in the dining room. The food was tasty and there was ample choices including several vegetarian choices.it was always hot and well presented. Downstairs was the dining areas and a bar, which was busy on a weekend. It stands on a busy road so there can be traffic noise if, like us, your room faces the road. There is a small car park although this is tight to park in and access is down a small lane.

The hotel is ideally situated for day trips out to the many attractions and the village itself is very pleasant, with some nice shops and walks down the riverside. We also walked to the beach (about 15 mins) and stopped in the Golf club for a drink and some nice views The room was lovely as were the staff who worked hard and were polite and efficient. Also returned my wife's 'lost' watch which was greatly appreciated ! We ate in the hotel each night as the food was amazing (many locals eat here as well which tells you something) Highly recommended, we will be back !

While visiting Northumberland last week we stayed for one night at this little gem of a hotel. From start to finish, nothing was too much trouble. The lady on reception (sorry I didn’t catch your name) was very helpful, pleasant and chatty. We stayed in room 22 which was modern with a super king bed.The bathroom was of a decent size with a large shower cubicle.I don’t know if we were maybe doing something wrong but we could only get lukewarm water from the shower….. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and both my burger and my partners pie was delicious(see pics below). Also,a shout out to the two young girls waiting the tables who were friendly and professional.Breakfast the following morning was also delicious and plentiful with plenty of choice.Once again, the staff were excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel as the staff are so welcoming and it’s an ideal base from where to explore what Northumberland has to offer.

From booking until check out this was a faultless stay, booking for a large group was no problem at all. Lovely welcome from the receptionist, shown to lovely clean rooms. Fantastic food in the restaurant served by een more lovely staff. A great find in a charming village.

Stayed in this wonderful hotel for 2 nights. The location is fantastic in the centre of the village. A 2 minute stroll to the river and a 10 minute walk to Warkworth beach. There’s a small private car park at the rear of the hotel and plenty of free parking nearby. The staff are fantastic, very welcoming and helpful. They really couldn’t do enough for you, top class. The hotel and the rooms are spotlessly clean with all the facilities you could need. The food is without doubt probably the best I’ve had for a long time. Fine dining at very reasonable prices, absolutely amazing. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation and I look forward to staying here again very soon. It really is that good, a gem.
