Nice location. Captive customer as there is no other reason to visit apart from the beach. Disinterested staff. Rediculousy over priced drinks. £11.50 for a glass of wine and £7 for a pint of lager. The 2nd highest we have paid for the same drinks in the UK this year!!

Waited an hour for starters, and finally got our mains an hour and a half after we arrived. Soup served with cheap white bread and terrine contained peas instead of capers and was served with a panini rather than melba toast. Goats cheese was a bit flavourless and chicken was dry. Warm welcome when we arrived but it quickly went downhill. Will not be back.

A great location for accessing the Coastal Path in a charming village. Exceptional, professional, cordial, knowledgeable staff. Room number one is spacious with windows overlooking a quintessential coastal village. Nautical, light airy decor. During the first days of June not all local restaurants were open. The restaurant has an ambitious menu, but some of the menu doesn’t quite work. I hope they’ll find their way, because I’d love to stay there again. I would encourage travelers to confirm AC. Closing heavy drapes during the day was necessary to keep the room comfortable.

Came for Sunday lunch as I had a great lunch her a few years ago and knowing we were returning for a day out I was excited to eat here again. I honestly wish I had tried somewhere else. Booked ahead and got table quickly when arrived. The tall blonde young waitress who was serving our table was lovely very smiley and friendly. Five stars to her. Unfortunately they had no Pork left at 2pm. So I ordered the beef. Extremely disappointed and very very overpriced for what you get. I honestly was shocked. The peas and red cabbage looked very old and shrivelled. There was three peas to which I commented, light heartedly to another girl who brought the plates over "do I only get three peas" she commented back "there under the meat". So I now have 9 shriveled peas and cabbage. The roast potatoes out of three, one was old and rock solid, another was about the size of a Brussels sprout in half and one tasty. A male water came over and I mentioned to him is this normal for £22. And he said "what do you want". "Do you want more peas" This took me aback a little and I just answered yes please. The second girl returned with a fresh bowl of veg which look colourful and tasty. Nothing like the shrivelled veg on the plate. When she put them down she rudely said "there you go if you'd asked politely". I was shocked and so was the first waitress. I'm grateful they they brought out fresh veg but this experience was terrible for the premium price. Your paying for location not a quality product. Thankyou to the polite friendly blonde waitress you were an asset but definitely would not return or recommend anymore. I have two photos which hopefully show the pitiful state of the lunch we were served for over £22 (I had pulled the veg from under the lukewarm beef) and the second they fresh veg in the bowl. Fair it doesn't have gravy on it but wow the difference in quality is ridiculous. Oh and the gravy well let's say watery

I loved this place and will definitely return. The staff were friendly and efficient, the bar and restaurant areas are spacious, and there is a good sized garden. My room was wonderful - sea view and large balcony. The restaurant has a good menu, and I didn't have to wait long for my meal to be served. My only citicism is that no one told me that the main entrance is closed even to guests overnight till around 8 or 9 in the morning. I wanted to go out for an early walk but found the doors leading from the accommodation area to the bar where the main entrance is were locked, with no signage to say when they open or where the alternative exit is. It turned out that there is a small side door which I had never even noticed, and which looks a bit like a fire door or emergency exit.
