A beautiful hotel with a fantastic location. The service, staff and breakfast were perfect. We had booked a room with a terrace. Unfortunately, the terrace is a shared terrace, so all guests sit in front of the window.

We spent the night at Mortons Manor and were impressed by the cleanliness of the room and en-suite. Whilst we both had two pillows they were very well used and flattened and, in our opinion, need replacing. When booking we asked for a quiet room so were a little disappointed that ours faced directly onto the car park although in fairness there were no cars coming or going during the night. Staff were very pleasant and made everything clear to us. Breakfast was of good quality but the roasted ham and egg on muffin was dry and the tomato on my husband's breakfast has been very overcooked to the point of almost having disintegrated. Added to the fact we had to wait much longer than in other hotels for the food to arrive we were not impressed. We understand everything is freshly cooked but being slow to bring already ordered tea and toast, then a further delay with the hot food is a bit of a let down. The hotel is very conveniently located in Corfe Castle and an ideal spot from which to explore the area.

Went to this hotel for a one night get away at a stressful time. In short we had a fantastic time. The room was immaculately clean, as was every area we went into. The reception staff very friendly and professional. The waiting staff absolutely excellent - also friendly and professional. As for the food, I don’t even know where to start. We had the most fantastic meal. We went before schools broke up, and I don’t know if it would be any different then, but we loved the quiet relaxed atmosphere.

After a hot day exploring Corfe we were looking for a cream tea treat and spotted this lovely hotel close to the high street but tucked away and very peaceful. We sat outside on the terrace. I was a bit disappointed that the scones aren't the traditional style. They are too big and brown but at least they were fresh. Dogs are allowed inside and out.

This is a well furnished, well presented hotel which I suspect has been the subject of a fairly recent refurbishment. The rooms are spotless, well provided with comfortable beds. The staff friendly and helpful and it truly was a joy to stay here. We were unable to secure a dining table so we went out as there are plenty of good dining places within a 50 yard walk, so no problem. This hotel actually has a good reputation for its restaurant but in the morning at breakfast we were left wondering if by "pure fluke" we had actually done the right thing. The cooked breakfast was not good at all, In fact in my opinion, it should not have left the kitchen. Overcooked cardboard bacon, overcooked mushrooms, sausage, eggs and tomatoes, all in all, very disappointing (see photo- this is how it was delivered to me) and it was not very substantial. I find it hard to believe that a hotel this good would normally allow food to go out like this! I will give them the benefit of the doubt and trust that they had an "off day".

A very comfortable stay for just one night en route to Cornwall. Looking at previous reviews I was hoping to not get room 6, but sure enough….! In the end it was quite comfortable and not as noisy ( road) as previous reviews may have suggested. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were excellent although the waiting staff seemed a bit stretched at dinner.

We had a single nights stay with dinner included. Good comfortable room with a good view of castle, very good dinner and breakfast. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Will stay again when down in Purbeck although probably out of season.

Dined here today we had Sunday lunch The food quality the presentation and taste was absolutely first class as were the staff We would not hesitate in eating here again a beautiful location in Dorset we even had a steam train passing by as we left !

Excellent stay. Lovely hotel, very helpful staff. Restaurant was excellent, they were so good with my special dietary needs. Wheelchair friendly room, parking space and Restaurant access. We will be back.
