We were disappointed with this hotel because we scheduled a fun August trip to both see the Oz museum and to soak in some hot August sun because summer is escaping us. The pool looks nothing like the pictures on their website. It’s filthy and green…not appealing to even stick your toe in. The in ground hot tub is gone—they stuck a store bought spa tub on top of it, which is clean. The location is good and the breakfast was ok. We stayed at the very back of the hotel and the noise from people entering and exiting the rear doors during the early morning hours was pretty bad. I would not stay here again.

Friendly staff. Nice pool. Hallways were not air conditioned or unable to keep up especially upstairs but room air conditioning worked well. No elevator. Sparce breakfast so we ate in town which was good country food. Hotel ok for an overnight stopover in the middle of Kansas and to visit oz museum which was nice but small. Dinner at 4th and Elm only place in town was very good, crowded and friendly. Only other options for food and lodging in Manchester if this doesn’t suit your needs.

The system had us arriving a day later even though our confirmation had the correct date. We booked a standard king but she gave us her last business king at same rate. Stayed on first floor next to stairs to second floor. It was noisy on the stairs and above us on the second floor. Sofa, chair and desk chair need cleaning or updated, same with carpet. It's a good rate, no frills.

We stayed for three nights in the midsize room with a kitchen type of area and a sofa bed. The room was quite large and was clean though it was showing its age a bit. The beds were good and the refrigerator and microwave worked. The staff that we dealt with were very nice. The showerhead was placed a bit low, but the water pressure was good. I did like that the sink was outside the bathroom, it made getting ready easier when you have multiple people. It was a bit odd for the door to the room to have the chain type closure instead of the full metal piece that most hotel rooms have these days. The breakfast was good. It wasn’t anything amazing but it was basic and it tasted good. On the downside, there was an issue with the pool pump, so the pool was closed, which was disappointing when that was one of the main reasons we booked this particular place in town. Also, the back door, that would typically require your key scan to open was not working. So there was nothing stopping anyone from coming in the two back doors and into the hotel.

This was a great value for the price. It was clean, the people at the front desk or courteous and helpful. The pool was clean and there were several chairs. My favorite part, though, was the complimentary breakfast. It really was one of the best that I have had for being provided. Several hot options, including sausage gravy with lots of sausage in it, biscuits, eggs, sausages, waffles, ETC. Bed was comfortable
