A very distinctive British-style hotel, Xiaobailou has a long history. The whole environment is very beautiful. You can take a walk in the park during the day. I really like the windows in the main building with the view~
The afternoon tea set is rich and delicious, the restaurant's daily supply of tea, coffee and wine list is also very rich, and the dinner standard is online.
Facilities: Disposable slippers are generally not provided. It is best if you can prepare them yourself ~ I changed the room type once in the middle, and the second room was not equipped with a refrigerator.
It happens to be the hottest summer in London. The hotel has no air conditioning and relies on a small electric fan to blow the air.😂

A bit hit and miss, sometimes you get a great experience, a good room and a welcome feeling, other times a bit below par.
Definitely suits the older clientele, and the rooms I have stayed in, and particularly the bathrooms are in need of a refresh.

Absolutely loved our time at West Lodge Park - good old fashioned customer service.
Breakfast taken on both mornings of our stay was tasty and plentiful - albeit a little bit of a strange queuing system around people who are eating there own breakfast to access the hot cooked fayre.
All staff we engaged with were super friendly, courteous and attentive.
We will return for sure.

From the moment we checked in, until the moment we checked out, everyone was super friendly. The restaurant experience was good with plenty of choice and efficient service. We will be back.

Lovely location. However, Unfortunately the hotel decor is dated and tired. As such roo rates are overpriced. Hair on bathroom floor, leaking shower. We went to the bar area to have something to eat. My husband ordered a sandwich which he enjoyed I ordered a smoked salmon salad. I was given a salmon sandwich and when I said it wasn’t what I ordered and I have ordered a salad, the gentleman behind the bar said apologies we will sort. Then the lady who took the order walked out with it with a face on and slammed it down on the table in front of me. No apology. The staff look miserable like it was an inconvenience having customers . Breakfast was just ok. Eggs overcooked. On check out there was no how was your stay, thank you for staying, we hope to see you again. We won’t be staying again. Hotel needs to understand its level of quality, think about service and customer experience and review its prices. As it stands it’s well overpriced and you don’t come away thinking amazing let’s book again.

Stayed Friday nite as needed to drive to London on the Saturday, arrived in the afternoon, guy at reception was welcoming but gave the keys without any instructions to where the lift or room was, corridor to room stank of cooking as did the room on entry, room was ok, little tired, the grounds are beautiful, we did not eat but used the bar which was comfortable and the staff attentive and friendly, our real grip was the cost of drinks, very overpriced, we would not personally stay here again
