The Passenger, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Great experience with a brand new Hotel. Very service minded staff.

Brand new hotel, with modern decoration both at the commom areas and at the rooms. We stayed in a triple room very well decorated and comfortable, with the additional bed near the window. the room had a triangle format that made it look smaller than it is. Staff was nice. The hotel does have a shopping mall near by, but they close early in Austria, so there are no other options with walking distance. Having said that, we use the hotel restaurant and had a good experience Location and price makes the main point. Is easily acessible to the center of Salzburg, but besides the mall and the red bull stadium there is nothing near by.

Excellent new hotel, glad we got to stay there for our trip to Salzburg. The employees at reception and at the hotel bar were gracious hosts and were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. They gave us great information, and made our stay even better. They definitely hired the right people for the job. I enjoyed the location, parking, and the room. My one criticism would be that the bathroom door has a mechanism that makes it automatically shut when I wanted the door to stay open, but it was just a minor inconvenience. All in all, a very nice hotel next to a very big shopping mall. We'll be back!

The hotel is relatively new, and as a result, it boasts excellent facilities and is impeccably clean. While it is located a bit farther from the city center—about a 30-40 minute bus ride (just 5 minutes walk to the bus stop or Sbahn station though)—the convenience of having IKEA and shopping mall Europark right across the street more than makes up for it. This is ideal for those who are looking to explore these attractions or need shopping options nearby. The room, while well-appointed, is on the smaller side. If you have two large pieces of luggage, it might feel a bit cramped and maneuvering around could be challenging. That said, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is modern and well-designed, offering a relaxing space after a long day. The staff were consistently friendly and professional, both at the Front Office and in F&B, making our stay more enjoyable. However, there was an issue with housekeeping: despite not having a "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door, our room was missed for cleaning on one of the days leading up to our checkout. While this wasn’t a major inconvenience, it was an unexpected oversight. Overall, this hotel offers great value for those looking for a clean, comfortable stay with good access to nearby attractions.
