Location: The hotel is centrally located near the seafront, restaurants, bars, and the train station . It offers views of the River Mersey and the Irish Sea.

Warmest of welcomes from Receptionist who informed us of all we needed to know about our stay. Room and ensuite spotlessly clean so a big thank you to the cleaners. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Comfortable bed. Short walking distance to The Floral Pavilion which was our purpose for the trip. I thought it might be noisy at night (we stayed on a weekday) as we overlooked the restaurants but we slept soundly and were not disturbed. We really could not fault any aspect of our stay so thank you once again to the whole team at Wallasey New Brighton who made our night out memorable for all the right reasons. We do know some 5 star hotels who could take a leaf from your book, staff wise.

The service by Dianne on the front desk was fantastic, friendly and happy with a big smile every time you came through the door. The rooms are nice and clean with just enough for our short stay. The location was excellent, lovely sea view all the way to Liverpool docks , pubs and shops all in close proximity and not to far from the ferry. The area was busy but not at all at night , very peaceful for us . Thanks

Friendly and welcoming staff. Stayed for 3 nights, room clean and tidy, a little on the warm side but aren't all hotel rooms. Hot and humid weather didnt help. Security lock on window loose, but no other issues. Plenty of food outlooks near by and pleasant walks along the nearby promenade.

Where do I even begin with my recent Travelodge "experience"? While I always try to find the positives, this stay felt less like a hotel visit and more like an endurance test. My primary concern isn't with the dedicated staff on the ground (who appeared to be doing their utmost with limited resources), but squarely with the decisions made by senior management. The most significant issue was the heat. My room was an unbearably hot oven, rendering any hope of comfort impossible. Trying to sleep in that sweltering environment felt akin to attempting a nap in a desert. "Comfortable" simply wasn't a word I'd use; I spent the night feeling like I was slowly roasting. Beyond the sauna-like conditions, the overall atmosphere felt more akin to a temporary residence than a typical short-stay hotel. While budget hotels naturally cater to a broad clientele, the pervasive presence of numerous seemingly long-term residents contributed to an unusual environment for a standard hotel guest. For a hotel purporting to be a reliable budget option, the fundamental absence of essential amenities like effective air conditioning, combined with an ambiance more suited to long-term living than fleeting visits, clearly indicates a significant disconnect at the senior management level. It appears the focus is heavily on cost-cutting rather than ensuring a genuinely comfortable or appropriate guest experience. If your ideal stay involves enduring excessive heat and an atmosphere that deviates significantly from a standard hotel, then this might be the place for you. Otherwise, I strongly advise saving your money and seeking accommodation elsewhere for a more comfortable experience.

Well, where do I even begin with my recent Travelodge experience? I typically try to find the silver lining, but honestly, this stay felt less like a budget hotel and more like a social experiment gone wrong. And let's be clear, my main beef isn't even with the hard-working staff on the ground (who seem to be doing their best with what they've got), but with the masterminds in senior management pulling the strings. The Heat Is On (Literally). Prepare to enter what I can only describe as a human-sized oven. My room was unbearably hot, making any semblance of comfort impossible. I'm not sure if Travelodge's senior management missed the memo on global warming, or perhaps they're just fans of a good sauna, but attempting to sleep in that sweltering heat was like trying to nap in a desert. Comfortable? You'll be lucky to avoid spontaneous combustion. Beyond the sauna-like conditions, the atmosphere was... let's just say, diverse. While I understand budget hotels serve a wide demographic, encountering what appeared to be numerous long-term residents, including council tenants and immigrants. For a supposedly reliable budget option, the lack of basic amenities like effective cooling, coupled with an environment that feels more like a temporary housing solution than a short-stay hotel, points to a serious disconnect at the top. It seems senior management are more focused on squeezing every last penny than ensuring a remotely comfortable or appropriate guest experience. If you enjoy feeling like a slow-roasted chicken and prefer your stay to double as a community outreach program, then by all means, book a room. Otherwise, my advice is to save your money and your sweat.

Receptionist really helpful hotel was clean but it was far too hot on the top floor when the windows don’t open fully when temperatures are high in hot weather. Couldn’t breathe

Rooms cannot be ventilated, oppressive heat build up made for an uncomfortable stay. Adjacent food outlets result in overflowing bins and litter.

Lovely welcome by receptionist! It was a hot weekend and she managed to get us another fan! Excellent location. Despite bars/restaurant's being nearby didn’t hear anything. The same receptionist checked us out and seemed genuinely interested by what we were doing that day. We will definitely be back. Thanks 🤩
