Courtyard Walla Walla

The hot tub was down and they never let you know.

A very nice hotel.

Newer hotel, near downtown Walla Walla and fifteen minutes of a range of wineries and tasting rooms. Friendly staff. The rooms are clean and reasonably well appointed, but certainly on the pricier side for a Courtyard. Stayed in room 209, which isn’t great for a few but honestly there’s nothing to see from here anyway. I took off a star because the hotel doesn’t seem to be in the best area.

The hotel has very loud HVAC systems. Loud noise comes from the HVAC wall unit and from the exhaust ducts venting air to outside. The outside vents are all over the sides of the hotel under or next to every room and seem turn on every half hour. You can’t turn the bathroom fans off so that just adds to the overall noise level - especially at night. The final noise source was a soft drink machine and ice maker just on the other side of the wall of our bed. It registered 69 decibels on a decibel meter. (I downloaded an app on my iPhone). We had to wear industrial strength ear plugs at night and they didn’t completely block out the sounds. We tried to change rooms to something quieter but were told all the suites were filled and besides they were all positioned the same way our suite was - so would probably be as noisy. Very sad because the rest of the hotel amenities are very nice. Would not recommend staying here if you want a relatively quiet room.

Hotel is nice and rooms seem to be updated recently. Staff was friendly however when asked if there were any benefits for being a platinum member such as free breakfast and they mention that doesn’t apply for this hotel. So value is Ok, more on the expensive side but if you expect any Marriot BONVOY benefits you will not get them here

Great location Very comfortable and spacious room. Plenty of free parking, and the hotel was located right in downtown. Near plenty of good restaurants and shops.
