The Maxwell House

The house is very welcoming, and Penny is a darling ❤️. Each room has been lovingly set up down to the smallest detail. Flowers, extra pillows, homemade cookies, and candies by the bed. Breakfast was delicious each morning, with ample helpings, and personal attention to our likes/needs. Coffee and tea was available to use at our leisure to enjoy on the porch, in the garden or in front of the fireplace. This was our first experience staying at a BNB, and it was wonderful! Definitely recommend, will visit again!

Maxwell House gave us a 5 star experience with excellent attention to every detail of our stay….warm and inviting, scrumptious food and excellent table service and food presentation, linens and pillows are high quality and entire home is impeccable! This bed-and-breakfast is walking distance to downtown restaurants and shopping as well as a gorgeous park with a pickleball court and an Aviary with exotic birds from around the world! A short car ride took us to Waterbrook Winery and Kitchen where we enjoyed flights of exciting wine and Prosecco alongside a delectable charcuterie! Beautiful decor in every room. Penny was the perfect hostess. Breakfasts were delicious and the coffee kept coming! Easy walk to downtown shopping and a savory dinner at T Max. Pristine pickleball courts blocks away and an adorable aviary. Definitely coming back!

Amazing girls getaway in Walla Walla! Penny’s place is in a fabulous location, quiet, and peaceful. The interior is so charming and has everything you need. Breakfast, coffee and snacks/treats were DELICIOUS! Great restaurants downtown and a beach park a few blocks away. Looking forward to next time! Kathy

Wow! I cannot rave enough about our experience with Penny at Maxwell House. We were a group of girlfriends, stayed 4 days, Penny is so friendly and welcoming, breakfasts were delightful and filling. Beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet. The beauty and charm of her B & B makes you smile at every turn. Walla Walla is such a fun area: wine-tasting, a fun downtown with great restaurants & shopping, a beautiful park nearby with a lake, pickleball courts, aviary and beautiful greenery to stroll around and admire. Highly, highly recommend. We will be back for sure!!!

Very nicely kept beautiful older craftsman with loads of charm and a delightful host Penny. The home is well located to downtown WallaWalla with tasting rooms and a wide variety of restaurants . Room decor was period style and the appointments could not have been cleaner and in working order. Penny is absolutely the kindest host and the breakfasts and home cooked goodies are top shelf. We would highly recommend this true bed and breakfast . S and L.
