Heerlijk hotel, niet de goedkoopste maar wel heel goed! Ontbijt was netjes en lekker, ook het restaurant was prima. Kamers zijn schoon en ruim en mooi ingericht. Daarnaast lekker gebruik gemaakt van de sauna. Locatie is super! Een aanrader

Beautifully, expensively renovated castle with the most wonderful view of the Edersee. Dinner was adequate but the upscale restaurant was closed. Staff very nice, friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable but the pillows were too big and bulky. Would strongly recommend the experience of staying here.

We verbleven drie nachten .. heerlijk . Wel buiten het seizoen waardoor enkele activiteiten niet konden.. Een mooi kamer met uitzicht op het meer.. Er is gratis parking voor gasten aan de ingang van het hotel. Wi-Fi-sterkte is goed .. ontbijt inorde. We aten in het restaurant , niets op aan te merken. Vriendelijke ontvangst zeker een aanrader overnachten in een slot..

Our only glitch was booking the room. We could not book on the hotel website and ended up using ***********. From the time we arrived the experience was great. We had a lovely lakeview room. The Alte turner restaurant was open and it is fantastic. The wait staff are attentive and entertaining. While many hotels seem to have suffered during Covid, this place has thrived. I was last here 4 years ago and it has gotten better. I had a PHEV and they have a charging station which is very convenient. This is definitely a destination for a great weekend.

Die Burg und die Aussicht sind phantastisch. Lieder war das Weihnachtsarrangement, was sehr hochpreisig war, ein totaler Reinfall. Das Zimmer entsprach nicht dem, der auf der Website eingestellten Zimmern, sehr klein mit einem kleinen Fenster und ständigen brummen im Zimmer. Wurde sofort an der Rezeption bemängelt mit den Ergebnis, leider ist kein Techniker verfügbar und das Hotel sei ausgebucht, ein Zimmerwechsel nur gegen Aufpreis. Bei Abreise wurde dann mitgeteilt, dass ein Zimmerwechsel ohne Aufpreis hätte stattfinden können. Da habe ich nichts mehr verstanden. Weihnachtliche Stimmung kam nie auf, keine Weihnachtsmusik die ganzen 4 Tage. Das Weihnachtsmenü war auch überschaubar, hätte es die Vorspeisen nicht gegeben wäre ich hungrig zu Bett gegangen. Die Getränkepreise entsprechen einem 5* Hotel. Zur Kaffeestunde im Kaminzimmer wurde auch eingeladen, aber hier nur noch Stehplätze. Das Servicepersonal in den Restaurants war sehr hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Leider können wir das Hotel nach unserem 3. Aufenthalt nicht mehr weiterempfehlen.

Slapen in een slot, boven op de berg was prachtig. Adembenemend zicht op de omgeving en het Edermeer. Prachtige kamer (iets te warm wel). Beperkte parking naast het hotel waar we geluk hadden dat er niet iemand weg reed. Uitmuntend diner. Ontbijt is super en zeer uitgebreid met veel vers fruit (watermeloen, cavaillon, druiven, aardbeien bovenop de standaard cantaloup en ananas), gerookte zalm, verschillende soorten kazen en charcuterie en dit met zicht op het meer, de zwaluwen en zelfs adelaars. Zeker een stop waard in de sprookjesroute.

Ein sehr schöner 4 Tages Kurzurlaub. Wir haben ein Zimmerupgrade bekommen und konnten so direkt auf denEdersee schauen. Einfach nur herrlich! Total schönes Zimmer, Bad mit Badewanne. Frühstücksauwahl ist super und das gesamte Personal sehr Nett. Wir hatten wunderschöne Tage und kommen bestimmt mal wieder. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Sehr ruhige Spitzenlage 100m über dem Edersee, jedoch mit sehr schlecht ausgeschildertem Anfahrtsweg. Schöne, kleine Zimmer mit sehr kleinem Bad und winziger Dusche. Die älteren, rustikalen Möbel waren ziemlich abgenutzt. Zimmer mit Seeblick ist schön, aber auch die Landseite bietet feine Ausblicke. Klasse Restaurant "Alte Turmuhr" mit guter Küche, professionellem Oberkellner und freundlicher Bedienung (hauptsächlich Vietnamesinnen), die etwas aufmerksamer sein könnte (wenn die Gläser geputzt werden, müssen die Gäste warten...). Speisen und Weine sind hochpreisig, dabei (Achtung!) einige Gerichte winzig. Auch im Restaurant z.T. wackelige/gefährliche Stühle.
