First time I've stayed here and what a gem of a place. A cosy, welcoming pub with a very friendly atmosphere and very comfortable rooms. Added to this, a very simple and inviting evening meal menu, what I chose was absolutely delicious!

A lovely single room that has a brilliant bathroom. Really nice layout with a bedroom door separating you from the shower room and room door. Everything you could wish for. I was greeted warmly on arrival and advised that the music would finish at 8.30pm. It did... the party goers however kept up partying hard until 11.30ish. Impressively this was a baby shower and it sounded like they were having a great time, I hope they made the most of it! The food was fantastic as was the service at dinner and breakfast. I really liked the informal way that staff were relaxed and friendly. The car park is huge with plenty of space so there could be no excuse why the entitled owner of a huge black pick up truck decided to park blocking the main entrance to the whole hotel. They didn't even try to get it into the closest space, just threw it in so we could all see how important they are. This was massively inconvenient for anyone trying to get in or out, and they should have been asked to move it. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it. It was great value and much better than some much more expensive local hotels. Thank you.
