Glencoe Villa Guesthouse

Warm welcome from hostess as always , rooms roomy and spotless . Breakfast cooked to order and one of the best you will get anywhere. We were facilitated with an early full cooked breakfast one morning for an early departure and managed to find room in our cases for her delicious home made jam. Would heartily recommended this B&B to anyone staying in the area.

Little gem of a B&B. The 0wner (Ewa) is very friendly and helpful. She cooks a great breakfast to order. The rooms are traditionally furnished, en suite and very clean. My go to place when staying in the area. Very close to the M62/A1M and the town/city facilities of Pontefract and Wakefield. Recommend.

Stayed while visiting family. Ewa was very welcoming and kind. She was also so patient with us when we woke up late for breakfast! The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was cooked perfectly. Will definately stay again.

Just there for one night. Everything was good; Ewa was friendly and helpful; she told us of a good restaurant nearby. Our stay was comfortable and the breakfast good. Had a pleasant walk in the park over the road.

Despite many, many overnight stays, I do not write reviews, until now...... I went to Pontefract races, not expecting to stay over but how glad I am, that I did! Sat in my car after the races, I thought about trying to find something nearby to save me a drive home. I found Glencoe Villa online and made a phone call. A nine minute drive of 3.1 miles and I was met by the owner, Ewa (pronounced Ever). She is proud of her home but NOT houseproud and my ensuite bedroom was utterly delightful as was the breakfast room. Ewa seems very caring, attentive and determined to make one's stay enjoyable. I can honestly say that the full English breakfast I was presented with, was as nice as I have ever had! Even the gardens deserve more than a moment to stand and admire. Thank you very much Ewa, for an all-too-short stay and I hope other race-goers read this and are lucky enough to have a similar experience.
