We had chosen Vogelkopf based on the *********** reviews, all rave about the availability of Brazel, the owner, the exceptional quality of the meals, the attractions of a hotel that had only opened 4 months ago…. No maintenance anywhere, abandoned garden… which can be explained by a staff that deserves to appear in the Guinness Book of I don’t care. The meals are a total scam. Under the cover of full board, we were treated to pitiful plates morning, noon and night (soups in the form of hot water, five green beans, tempeh or soy swimming in oil or reheated from the day before, pieces of watermelon kept in the fridge from one meal to the next… everything was of the same ilk… the dynamism of the “chef” explains a lot…). We could have complained to him but, the day after our arrival, we learned that he had left for 2 weeks in Jakarta!!! Leaving his formidable staff to do what they do best: play guitar and sleep in unoccupied rooms. At this rate we do not give much for the future of this resort. The worst is yet to come! Too bad… in the middle of this slump, a thought however for Adya, the only one of the staff to have shown concern for our fate. Her qualities make us hope that she can use them elsewhere. In short, you will have understood: RUN AWAY! We
