We recently stayed at Vogelcopf resort for 5 days in one of their over water villas. The location among the mangroves and house reef were amazing with large amounts of fish and corels to snorkel through. Villas are very clean with ACs with very comfortable beds and a patio area to sit and watch sunsets and fish swimming by. The large jetty allows you to walk around and look at the fish and coral as well as a number of deck chairs to sit and relax to enjoy a sundowner while watching the sunset. The food has a limited menu but this is not a bad thing as everything is cooked fresh daily and was absolutly delicious espicially the grilled fish. Set dining times at the large dining area invites discussion and meeting other travellers and sharing stories which we really enjoyed. Breakfast and lunch packs were prepared for our excursions which were very tasy and plentifull. Our visit would not of been as memorable without the staff who work at the resort. Siska and Amei deserve a special mention for looking after us so well.. Overall a fantastic location and a amazing one week in Vogelcopf resort and Raja Ampat.

My cottage is right on the water having the sunset view. One morning I saw signs of the manatee passing by. Wake up call comes from the sounds of many birds chirping because at the back of my cottage is a mangrove forest. If you want just to stay in the resort, snorkeling activity is just within the facility. The resort has its own pier or jetty where guests could be picked up by various tour operators thus avoiding bumpy land trips. The food gives guests the opportunity to taste local favorites while at the same time the resort is conscious of international preferences. The music around the common friendly lounge is relaxing. There is always staff helpful to make one's stay comfortable.

We had chosen Vogelkopf based on the *********** reviews, all rave about the availability of Brazel, the owner, the exceptional quality of the meals, the attractions of a hotel that had only opened 4 months ago…. We thought we were dreaming… because we had nightmares. The hotel is certainly new but already seems to be damaged by age. No maintenance anywhere, abandoned garden… which can be explained by a staff that deserves to appear in the Guinness Book of I don’t care. The meals are a total scam. Under the cover of full board, we were treated to pitiful plates morning, noon and night (soups in the form of hot water, five green beans, tempeh or soy swimming in oil or reheated from the day before, pieces of watermelon kept in the fridge from one meal to the next… everything was of the same ilk… the dynamism of the “chef” explains a lot…). In reality we also understood that the owner, Brazel, decides on the menus and opts for the cheapest products, served repeatedly…. At 120 euros per night!!!! We could have complained to him but, the day after our arrival, we learned that he had left for 2 weeks in Jakarta!!! Leaving his formidable staff to do what they do best: play guitar and sleep in unoccupied rooms. At this rate we do not give much for the future of this resort. The worst is yet to come! Too bad… in the middle of this slump, a thought however for Adya, the only one of the staff to have shown concern for our fate. Her qualities make us hope that she can use them elsewhere. In short, you will have understood: RUN AWAY! We

Very nice place. Very very very nice staff. Very very very very good food. Free bottled water and good hygene. Good air conditining in the room and good, stable WiFi signal. We stayed only for one day and didn't dive, but only in the pier you have more biodiversity than in the whole Mediterranean Sea. Amazing location. Thanks specially to Melisa.

We had an incredible stay at Vogelkopf Dive Resort in one of the newly built overwater rooms. The modern accommodations were immaculate, and the entire property was beautifully maintained. The boardwalk into the ocean is the longest we’ve seen among its neighbors, looping around over the reef making for delightful strolls. The snorkeling experience there has the perfect blend of sandy bottoms and vibrant coral. Plus, having two docks for speedboat pickups made it so convenient for our snorkeling/diving adventures. Second to the unparalleled diving experience, the food was a highlight of our stay! The authentic Indonesian dishes were home-cooked with love, and the chef welcomed special requests. The hosts were attentive, always checking if we wanted more until we were completely satisfied. Each dinner came with phenomenal homemade cakes, and it was wonderful to know that all the vegetables were grown right on the property. As our time at Vogelkopf came to an end, the owner and staff went above and beyond, personally helping us carry our luggage to the dock and onto the ferry. Their genuine hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We wholeheartedly recommend Vogelkopf Dive Resort for anyone looking for a fantastic getaway!

Great spot with your own private coral garden. Baby sharks, turtles, stingrays, coral and fish right on your doorstep. If you are lucky enough and the tides are right you may even spot a dugong. Clean rooms with private bathrooms and a/c. All inclusive of meals. They are simple and basic but really tasty and made with love. Granted the variety may be a bit lacking but that will come with time. We had 5 days and were sad to leave. The staff and owners made it a joy to stay.

Excelente location. Very nice staff and good. Great effort to keep the mangrove and the coral reef in front of the hotel, where you can see more diversity than in the whole Mediterranean Sea. You have free bottled water so, don't need to bring more plastic with you

The experience was first rate and the attention to service was outstanding. The property is not far from the ferry port and the city of Waisai which makes for an easy transfer and the ability to see the city for a change of pace. The staff worked very hard at making sure our stay was comfortable and they were very attentive to any of our questions about the area. Sea kayaks and snorkels were available for the stunning sea life and coral in front of the property and this was all free of charge. We were able to see small sharks, turtles, stingrays, cuttlefish, and a wide array of other tropical fish. Cleanliness was top notch and all of the prepared meals were simple and delicious. We will most definitely book again when we return to this area.
