The room is beautiful and tidy, with a retro feel. The key is that the location is excellent, the scenery and service are first-class.

Quiet hotel in a strategic location. 100 meters from the ferry to Auckland, right at the end of an interesting shopping mile.
NZ's best supermarket right around the corner. Highly recommended.

I tried cancelling my booking after I read the reviews but they wouldn't let me. However on the day of my flight it was very sunny and I enjoyed making my way across Auckland and taking the ferry to Devonport. The dinner was a bit too expensive but all in all it was a good way to spend a long stop over in Auckland

Wegen der guten Lage direkt am Fähranleger eignet sich dieses Hotel prima für die Erkundung von Auckland. Etwa 10 Minuten braucht die Fähre und bietet eine großartige Sicht auf die Skyline. Das Hotel ist eher Durchschnitt. Kein Frühstück, kaputte Klimaanlage und Ameisen im Bad. Parkplätze gibt es rund um das Hotel reichlich. Über Nacht sind sie kostenfrei.

Could Be Better
This place has the potential to be a fantastic spot if some money was spent. For example, cooling system/air conditioning or fans that don’t sound like a truck, a shower that has consistent water temperature, a place that serves morning coffee or breakfast, better cleaning, and curtains that aren’t torn and old, and when the one window is open if there is a wind there is a banging noise. The location is perfect but the hotel not so much.

Very pleasant staff. No A/C. Very soft mattress. Opened several windows and hotel provided a floor fan. Room cooled down after sundown.
