This hotel was like Faulty Towers but without any staff when I visited on Monday 14th July. The hotel was closed for any service but they still took my room booking. I had to speak to someone half a mile away on an intercom to get a room key. Breakfast should be served at 7am not halfway through the morning. A total shambles.

We were in a front bedroom and the traffic noise went on all night. It was very warm but we couldn’t open a window because the road noise. Staff generally helpful. Room a good size and clean. We would not book again because of the noise but if we did we would ask for a room at the back of the building. It was expensive for what it was and didn’t compare well with other similar hotels we’ve stayed at.

I was attending a family celebratory event so booked a room at the venue. The check in process was easy and all the staff were attentive. The room, although small was adequate enough, very tidy, very clean. Throughout the stay the staff were superb with Kate and Gem very polite and willing to engage in conversation. The bar staff at the function - sorry didn't get their names were great and went out of their way to find me a bottled beer I could enjoy. Overall, really enjoyed the experience and will almost certainly visit again.

Five arrows ideal, Stayed a few nights as visiting waddesdon manor Loved it very much, we were advised to stay in room 11 and although near the car park very quiet, we had a lovely stay dinner breakfast both nights were most enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble the staff were amazing so attentive and very friendly. Just a couple of mentions and things that would have made the stay even better a mini fridge would have been nice in the room. And throws on the beds The carpet was a little stained but overall we found it very clean If you are visiting waddesdon manor show your room key and you get in free which is a nice touch We are national trust members but it’s great for anyone who isn’t that wishes to visit waddesdon I found the steak for dinner deserts coffee excellent service amazing and a great selection of wines It is open to the locals as well which was ok but found a bit off putting As four star hotel, it would have been nice to make more private and actually feel more like it should Lots of history beautiful hotel Room 11 is at the side away from traffic slightly and a lot quieter

My partner and I stayed at the Five Arrows on our wedding night and, despite living locally, will definitely be finding reason to stay again in the future. We stayed in one of the suites located in the court yard. The room was spacious and immaculately clean and tidy. The large four poster bed was comfortable and provided an excellent night's sleep after quite a big day and the shower was hot with decent water pressure. Little extras like The White Company toiletries, Dyson hairdryer and Nespresso coffee machine just added the comfort of the room. We could've happily and comfortably stayed for longer than the one night we did spend in this room. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had no complaints with the food at all (we will definitely be returning to the restaurant in the near future) and enjoyed some cocktails in the bar area which again were high quality and tasty. We also found there was a really nice atmosphere in the bar, it is clearly a venue enjoyed by friendly regulars. Breakfast the next morning was very tasty albeit a little on the small side if I had to give a criticism, but it was thoroughly enjoyed by us. My father-in-law also stayed at the hotel for our wedding and had nothing but positive things to say about it. By far the stand out part of our stay here were the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly and polite and nothing was ever too much. Our numerous bags were stored in the office after we'd checked out so we could go and enjoy Waddesdon Manor before returning home, left over wedding cake was stored in the fridge for us, we were allocated a more private booth table for our evening meaning to "finish off out special day" as the waitress put it. The staff member on the hotel reception desk even personally drove my father in law to our wedding ceremony when his taxi didn't turn up so he wouldn't be late! There was a small issue with our bill upon checking out but staff picked up on this straight away and sorted it out for us with no real issues. It just really felt like our comfort and enjoyment during our stay mattered to them and you don't come across that level of customer service very often! We booked our stay quite far in advance under their midweek break offer and paid £150 for the suite, breakfast, dinner allowance and access to Waddesdon Manor grounds and house and we'd have genuinely been happy with our experience if we'd have paid double that. We immediately decided we'd be returning to stay at the Five Arrows for our anniversary and we'll definitely be back before then for a meal.

A warm welcome and very helpful staff. Bed spacious and comfortable. Small but perfectly formed room. Dinner was exceptional. The servers couldn't do enough and the food divine. The best meal out I've had in years. We will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful boutique hotel. We booked one of the garden suites for a night and enjoyed visiting the manor beforehand, the cost of which was included in the room rate. This made our stay a very reasonable ‘package deal’. The suite was perfect. Stylish, comfortable and quiet. The restaurant food was excellent, as was the service. Once home I realised that I’d left an item of clothing in the wardrobe, and the staff very kindly posted it back to me. Would highly recommend.
