Hale Ohu is a very private B & B nestled in a jungle garden. Super comfy bed and easy-to-work-with management. We were traveling with an odd and changing schedule. Simple late check in and in -fridge breakfast, ready anytime, allowed us maximum flexibility to view the volcano at 4 AM when the eruption began.

Beautiful B&B located close to Volcanos National Park. The grounds are gorgeous . Room was bright & comfortable, with a lovely patio to enjoy a morning coffee, or a glass of wine after a day of exploring.So peaceful & relaxing. Breakfasts were great. Communication with owners was excellent, as they provided an abundance of information, I.e. restaurants, markets, sights, prior to our arrival. If I am ever back in the area, I would definitely stay here again!

Clean rooms, beautiful scenery and wonderful nature sounds. Very friendly and helpful owners. Close to volcano and black sand beaches. Hilo is only 20 miles away and there are excellent restaurants close, along with a laundry facility only a 1/4 miles away away.

Wonderful stay near the entrance of Volcanoes National Park! The room was clean, cozy, and had a peaceful rainforest view from the back patio. The provided kettle and microwave were very thoughtful, especially since dining options nearby are limited. Breakfast was delicious—prepared in advance and placed in the fridge so we could enjoy it at our own pace. Thanks to the front desk for letting us know about the lava glowing that night—it was an experience we’ll cherish forever. Can’t wait to come back!

We spent 3 nights at this delightful bed and breakfast staying in the Bamboo Room. Hale’Ohu is surrounded by a tropical rain forest garden which was wonderful to walk around. We had a different continental breakfast with home baked products which was more than adequate. There was a comprehensive list of recommendations for dining which was useful and the hosts Nicole and Gabrielle were very accommodating providing late arrival information. Would highly recommend as a base to explore the Volcano NP

My husband and I loved our stay here! We were welcomed by one of the friendly innkeepers upon arrival. The room was very clean, the breakfasts were delicious, the grounds were beautiful and it is so conveniently close to Volcanos National Park!! We highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

Outstanding location near Volcano national park with friendly and helpful staff. All of the details were thought of from breakfast to shoe cleaning kit and bathrobes. A book with all of the information you’d need about the property, about the National Park, and about the area was provided. We highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.
