This hotel isn’t really near anything, but it was a nice place. Breakfast was nice and dinner was nice. The odd thing was that we arrived around 1430 and our room was ready, but they stopped serving lunch at 1330. As I mentioned, this place wasn’t really near anything and we couldn’t get anything to eat or drink till dinner started. I asked the staff for recommendations and they suggested Zermatt, lol. We were hiking, lol.

The hotel was under construction the day we arrived and although I had booked 6 months prior, we were unaware. The hotel also appeared to continue to advertise. More interested in making money than treating guests respectfully. The Hotel don’t care, management non responsive and appear to be deceptive. The town is quiet, not much about and further from Zermatt than anticipated. We ended up staying in Täsch, a great little hotel - Mount Time. Cheaper, across from the train station and the management team were available and helpful. The La Reserve may be nice once it’s rebuilt but be careful with Management team as they are as useful as catching a cold and treat people like fools.

We stopped for lunch. The restaurant looks ordinary inside…but…the service is very well trained indeed. We ordered pizza and salad…very good indeed…the pizza was the best I had in 30 years 😲😋😋😋 We had a 50cl bottle of Valais wine…Diolinoir….a very good wine too. The salad was very fresh and a wonderful homemade sauce too. This restaurant is a hidden great tip of you are going to The Valais in Switzerland…and stop for lunch or dinner on the way to Zermatt 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😊👍👍

Great hotel. In terms of quality and price: nothing to complain about.....Especially in Switzerland. In addition there is a small lounge where you can make tea or coffee. We had a very good stay. The train station and shops are nearby.

The staff was very friendly, efficient or in other words outstanding. The two girls ran the restaurant on a very busy evening in a great manner. Even being under stress the entire time while we were in the restaurant they always had a smile on the face and just were lovely. We were lucky enough to live in one of the new rooms which were just tastefully furnished. I slept there into my 70th birthday. We can only recommend this place: the hotel, the restaurant,
especially the Dutch and the German waitresses. Thank you for having such a great host.

The staff member at reception was fabulous - very welcoming & gave us all the information we needed. The room was spacious and comfortable. We loved the shared tea & coffee lounge. The server in the restaurant for dinner was friendly & knowledgeable.

Very nice hotel on the banks of the Tarn. Nice rooms, nice bathrooms. A five star, yet small details note an unjustified concern for economy on the part of the management. No slippers, no daily replacement of water bottles, no coffee machine, just a kettle and no replacement of Nescafé pods either...on a room at €318. Room not recommended because it faces the park, which is good, but also above the kitchens with the hum of the fridges at night etc... so light sleepers should be avoided. A good point however in terms of the restaurant, very pleasant, attentive staff and a chef worthy of the name. We had two meals, it was well balanced, no excessive salt, which is quite rare.
