Great location and top notch staff. Great check in experience and lobby was nice. Our room was clean, comfortable and cozy. Great size room with full kitchen. We saw a few ants in the bathroom and we squashed the problem. Everything else was fine. We used the hot in the pool area and it was nice. Our only complaint was hotel did not seem staffed well to serve breakfast. We got down stairs to eat at 8:30 and very little food was left and no utensils. Staff was washing dishes and forks appeared a few minutes later. The shortage was hot food. They did have cereal, muffins and juice. The hot entrees were empty as was coffee. We waited 20 minutes and left. It was a Sunday morning and they were sold out the night before. So they seemed not prepared for so many hungry people.

This hotels has a bed bug infestation. We arrived late in the evening August 24th with our two young children and upon folding out the sofa bed found bed bugs crawling on the mattress. The front desk associate was kind enough to move our rooms, but unfortunately the second room also had bed bugs in the pull out sofa. We’d already booked this hotel for three nights but with bugs in two rooms there was no way we could stay. We wrapped a bug up in a tissue, delivered it to the front desk and informed her we would have to check out because those bugs were crawling in the pull out sofas where our sons would be sleeping. She was very kind and assured us we would receive a phone call the very next day (August 25th) from a manager who would be able to resolve the issue. Fast forward to September 6th, not one person has returned a single phone call of mine or even attempted to reach out to me regarding the matter. They sent us a bill for three nights in their hotel and three days of parking in their parking lot when we spent less than 30 minutes in the building and never returned. I’ve attempted to reach them MULTIPLE times. I’ve been given the run around over and over when I call. I’ve heard managers aren’t in, managers are in meetings, or if they are a manager, they have no authority to help with the situation. Each “manager” I’ve spoken to has promised to return my phone call right away and failed to do so every time. I emailed the manager, Tanja, and she has yet to return to the email either. I can assure you this hotel has bed bugs in it. Just read other reviews! We aren’t the only guests who have had issues with this. This was one of three Residence Inns we stayed in over the course of this trip throughout California and this Residence Inn in Vasalia was an awful experience. The management has shown they do not care about the experience of their guests at all.

We recently traveled to Visalia and needed a room with a refrigerator and an oven. I chose Residence Inn for this reason, realizing that it cost almost double what it would cost me at other properties. However, when we checked in, to a King Studio, there was no oven, just a two-burner cooktop and a microwave. There also was no iron or hair dryer. We had to change rooms for the second night, because of inconsiderate neighbors (no fault of the hotel). This time, there was an oven in the room, but again, no hairdryer. When I spoke to the clerk upon checkout, she told me that the only King Studios that had ovens were the Handicap Accessible rooms - NOT what the hotel description and accompanying photos show. However, the staff was extremely professional and helpful and the bed was very comfortable. The other problem with the property is that they charge you a $15 per night parking fee. I can understand parking fees at downtown hotels where parking is at a premium, but this property is located at the edge of town. It's just another fee to make money. Needless to say, but I won't be staying here again.

Please avoid this property! I check in here in Tuesday July 25 2023. When I entered my room I discovered may dead bugs in the bathroom. On my return to the front desk I was informed there are no more room available. As there were no more room anywhere in Visalia I decided to stay and hope for my live bugs. As the video attached show there are multiple live what looks like ants crawling in my bed!! In trying to speak with the General Manager Kartik Shandil i was told he was unavailable. I still to this day have not head from the General Manager. Please avoid this peoperty as they do not care for any customer service.

Pros: Nice room, we had a suite very spacious. Like having a large shower enclosure- better than showering in a tub. Good Breakfast. Nice breakfast lady. Cons; Charged $15. a night for parking. Charges $30.37 for two bottles of beer.

We stayed here on a business trip, and stayed in a one bedroom suite. The hotel is lovely, our room was comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean. The woman and the desk was sweet, and tried her best to help us when she could. The reason I am rating this four stars instead of five is that they were out of coffee for the rooms. We asked about it, and were told they had run out. I think if I were running the hotel, I would send someone out to Costco and grab a case. Other than that, the facility is beautiful, and we would stay again, just make sure we had coffee with us.

Recently stayed here for 3 nights to visit nearby Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. During checking in and checking out, the front desk staffs didn't mention anything about the daily $15 parking fee. I even made sure upon check out that my account balance is $0 and the staff said yes. Got home and found out I got charged for parking. If this hotel was located in the city where parking is scarce, then I would have expected it. But in Visalia where the hotel is surrounded by vacant lands and anyone could park in the parking lot...(see attached photo) How does the hotel justify the charge? Called the hotel after my stay, and still haven't get a return call from the manager. On the second and third day, the elevator button on the ground floor was broken, so every one had to wait for the staff to go to the housekeeping area, wait for the elevator to come down and to open the elevator from the back side to let guests in. To my surprise, my room was cleaned on the first night, but there were still several hair on the floor in the bathroom. Then there was no maid service on the second night. Oh well, no big deal. Thumbs up to the lady who runs the breakfast area. She was friendly and welcoming. Daily breakfast offers warmed up packaged food such as breakfast burritos, Belgium waffle, sausage biscuits (don't recommend, too dry), bagel sandwiches, and crustless quiches that they switched around every day, so it's easy for you to take with you to eat in your room or later in the day. There were also muffins, oatmeal, and fruits. And of course, several juices, teas and coffee to choose from. The studio room we were in was a decent size. The kitchen has refrigerator, microwave oven, stove tops, dishwasher. Pretty much anything you may need to heat up a meal. Our room was on the 4th floor on the back side(I think) of the hotel. Starting around 5-6 am, you'll hear car noises traveling on the road next to the hotel that woke me up every morning. Overall a decent, newly renovated hotel. I would recommend it if you were OK with the ridiculous $15 daily mandatory parking fee. Otherwise, maybe choose Best Western right down the street.
