Outstanding comfort and service. Perfect location for waterfront restaurants and waters edge swimming . Quiet rooms, very comfortable large beds, delicious breakfasts. Wonderful attention to detail and service that goes above and beyond. A must when visiting beautiful Vis.

We have travelled a lot and this was a very pleasant surprise. It is obvious that Lou Lou was an interior designer as she has taken great care to create something truly special. The rooms are spacious and the decor is beautiful. The Hotel is a stone’s throw from the water’s edge and footsteps to the best restaurants. Lou Lou was so hospitable and her local knowledge helped with booking day trips and restaurants. We will be back again soon!

We stayed at Pomalo in August - my three teenagers and I - and received the most exceptional service from LouLou and her staff. From beginning to end, our stay was pure hospitality. The vibe of the hotel is relaxed luxury - from the thread count of the sheets (most comfortable bed I've slept on) to the Molton Brown products in the bathroom to the Yugoslavian movies playing by candlelight on the hotel wall each night - every detail has comfort in mind and is perfectly combed over. Breakfast is delicious, and the location can't be better - in the center of Vis town and quiet at night. My daughter has celiac, and LouLou custom purchased and prepared gluten-free breakfasts with her in mind. She took the time to show my other daughter the best bakeries in town. The staff managed amazing dinner bookings for us each night (including one at a couple's home we will never forget!) and suggested secret beaches on the island to take our scooters. I would come back to Pomalo again and again - it was the most perfect boutique hotel experience I've ever had.

From the moment I walked into this beautiful Hotel I felt at home. The owner Lou Lou and her staff were kind and helpful. My room was beautiful and surprisingly very large. The bed and linens were so comfy. The owner thought of everything. When I realized I forgot flip flops, I saw there were already complimentary sandals in the closet (along with beach towels and a picnic basket!). Lou Lou thought of everything one might need to enjoy this extraordinary island. The complimentary bikes were a wonderful surprise. I was able to bike around town and visit some lovely places to swim. I highly recommend this hotel. It's a boutique hotel with all the amenities of a 5 Star big city hotel. Walking distance to the ferry from Split. Will be recommending this beautiful Inn to all my friends and family.

This has to be the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced in my life and the hotel owner has no right to be in the hospitality industry. I was one of the guests who stayed with the wedding party (which included close friends and family). We will let the reader draw their own conclusions of the owner’s conduct. Our initial impression of the hotel was good, it was in a lovely location on the island and the owner was initially friendly and accommodating. We were all happy to be there to celebrate the nuptials of a lovely couple. Unfortunately the owner of the hotel changed, becoming hostile, unreasonable and then verbally abusive and threatening. She was clearly out of her depth and had never hosted a wedding party before. The below represents a factual account of what took place. What started out as a dispute over unreasonable charges turned much more sinister. A formal report was made to the police and all written and video evidence was supplied to them. • The owner sought to impose unreasonable charges which were all disputed as follows: o €80 for water which was initially stated to be complimentary and there was no clear signage stating that it was to be charged (as you would expect in a well-run hotel establishment). o €300 for use of a penthouse on the morning of the wedding – which was offered with no mention of any cost; and o €500 for the hotel photographer to take photos. It is completely customary at most weddings for a photographer to take photos of the wedding party in the morning of the wedding. She even said on a number of occasions that we should take photos and post them on Instagram. To impose this charge without warning/notice on the day of the wedding was a callous and calculated attempt at exploiting money out of the bride and groom. • The context for the credit card initially being withheld is whilst there was a request for a security deposit (as agreed in the contract), the owner never took this upon arrival and once we knew she wanted to charge unreasonable and disputed amounts, any reasonable person would not comply at that time. The hotel stay was paid for in full upfront. The aggressive requests for a credit card also all took place on the day of the wedding (to the father of the groom and then the bride minutes before the wedding). This is not reasonable behaviour – and came across as malicious. • That being said, one of the wedding party actually gave her credit card to the owner on the evening of the wedding (after she had locked all the rooms to the hotel and made the bride and grooms’ family stand outside in the courtyard for two hours). Despite the unreasonable charges and behaviour of the owner, we did not want this to further spoil the bride and grooms’ big day. But the owner was unable to take any payment at that time (which was not our fault). • What then transpired was that the owner went into the bride and grooms locked room, went into her purse and took her Amex credit card. We have photo evid

You may have seen Pomalo Inn profiled in Vogue, Marie Clare and Harper's Bazar - but let me tell you these glowing articles don't do justice to Pomalo Inn, the island of Vis or Lou Lou the owner. Pomalo Inn is pure magic. That allusive perfect place, perfect moment, incredible staff and "best bed in Croatia". The highlight of our extensive Croatian holiday. From start to finish this little inn that can wowed us in big ways and its thoughtful intuitive little details. Having had the great fortune of staying at some of the best resorts in the world we were charmed and blown away by the service, care and love that comes from Lou Lou who created this well appointed slice of heaven. Before we arrived, Lou Lou helped to curate not only the most memorable 3 days and nights anyone could hope for, but with her natural generosity, sparkle, warmth, and eye for quality she truly help me elevate our entire first trip to Croatia. Not just our time in Vis. From tips to other hotels, when to walk Dubrovnik's walls, to must see schools of design, most stunning church top in Croatia, to where to eat and find the most authentic winery on the way to Korcula. Emails, what's up and texts Lou Lou's enthusiasm for Vis and life is contagious. To say Lou Lou was generous with her knowledge, experience and with her time is an understatement. I knew we were in for a treat at Pomalo Inn. Expectations were high before arriving and they were blown out of the water. Lou Lou and her fabulous staff going above and beyond every hour of our stay and even continued upon our leaving when Lou Lou herself walked over to the post office postcards to our daughter we had left behind to ensure they got into the mail. Warning, you will fall deeply madly in love with Vis and be so grateful that you get to experience this true hidden gem in all of its glory staying at Pomalo Inn. No one will help you plan a better stay in Vis. You could not find yourself in better hands than with Lou Lou and her team at Pomalo. We can't wait to return! Ariane
