To be honest, it was a nice hotel and very clean. Currently there aren’t many amenities, but I think once they get the dinning area completed it’ll be great. The view from the room was great, with the exception of the work they’re doing with the area behind it. The location is also great, at the end of the town and across from old train depot. It was a comfortable stay and enjoyable too. We liked it!

Very satisfied, the price is just over $100, and you can enjoy the $250 hotels in the surrounding cities. In addition, the town where the hotel is located is not only an important town in the gold rush era, but also has a complete main street for shooting western movies, and there are performances on weekends. It only takes more than 20 minutes to drive from Carson City, which is definitely worth it.

I reached out through ******* to cancel our stay at the Silverland Inn in Virginia City due to having kidney stone surgery. At the time of booking, I paid extra just in case I needed to cancel. I just received word that the manager of this hotel refuses to issue a refund. Obviously, they do not care about their guests, only the money they receive. I will never recommend this place to anyone, as their policies are awful. Stay anywhere else but here. Place is just one big ripoff.

After so long, disappointed
We have been wanting to stay here since it was built quite a number of years ago. Bookings seemed to be hard to come by. Finally we made plans where I could book about a month in advance. Since it was the last night of a long trip, I splurged and got the full suite.
When we checked in, we were told that the desk was only open until 10PM and the front door would be locked then. Odd, but no big deal as they gave us the code for the side door. The room was at the opposite end of the building.
Immediately on stepping in the door of the room, there was a pretty strong odor. Guessing that the room had been smoked in and they had deodorized. They sent in maintenance to spray more deodorizer but it didn’t help much. They looked for another room for us but told us none were available. I know they only have a few suites but there were only 8 to 10 cars in the lot so not sure what to make of that.
The furnishings were period correct and nice. The room was HUGE. Easily 25 X 25. In the corner was a two person Jacuzie which worked perfectly. It even had bathrobes hung beside it but these stunk much worse than the room. The king size bed was very comfortable.
We woke very early and tried to get coffee in town. Near as I could tell, nothing opens until 9. The continental breakfast was supposed to be out at 6:30. It wasn’t. Coffee was decent though.
The on line checkout worked fine.
