Hyatt House Virginia Beach/Oceanfront

I have done a lot of traveling and this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. We opened the windows and listened to the waves crash against the beach, best sleep of my life. It was soothing. The staff is great and helpful and the dinner spot and bar downstairs is really good and attached outside bar is chill. Parking was convenient hated paying but it was worth it in the end. They make you come back for sure. Best features are the elevator key requirement for safety and the Giant Picture at the Check In....Bet you can't Guess who is in the picture.

Overall the hotel is slipping from the Hyatt House reputation. 2024 is the 6th year that I have stayed here. Pros -The personnel are fantastic, friendly and very professional. The location is excellent. Cons -the physical hotel is showing signs of wear and tear. Stained and frayed carpet in the hallways. Well worn carpet in our room in front of the sliding doors. This is a pet friendly hotel. Just be aware that at certain times of the day you may feel like you're staying at a SPCA. There is a complimentary breakfast but it is very limited. Definitely not the breakfast that was served in years past. Would I stay again, definitely questionable.

The outside has a little wear and tear could us some TLC and updating. The lobby and room were great. Our room included a kitchenette and a lovely walk in shower. Parking is in a garage next to hotel, they have designated floors that you access with room key and a drop box when your our departing your stay. They have an excellent Breakfast included in your stay. The price is great was well for room. This hotel is an oceanfront hotel!! If you see Phoenix in the lobby she is great!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt house. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. Awesome location right on the beach. Our oceanfront room was beautiful.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. This was the 6 year staying at the Hyatt House and we will be back next year.

The hotel was very nice, very clean with an exceptional staff throughout, Would definitely recommend this hotel and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great location, walking distance to shopping and great places to eat. Staff is excellent, hotel very clean and a fast elevator. Breakfast is good & the AC works great!

This was our 4th time there this year, always great. Only issue this time was there was a humming on & off all night. But never had that issue before.

As the title says if you like live music every day of the week then this is place for you. It goes past the quiet hours as well so bring earplugs if you are sensitive to it. I thought I’d get to sleep listening to the ocean but that was not the case.
