Hyatt House Virginia Beach/Oceanfront

We used an upgrade which got us a one bedroom. We showed up early morning and they had assigned us to a higher floor but we opted for a lower one to get in, this hotel needs an update and shows it. The rooms are worn (one our blinds fell down which they had to come fix) but it was ok and at least felt clean. The furnishings reminded me of my dorm room furniture. However this was all made up for with the great location. The beach was great and they had sand toys for the kids. You could walk everywhere and we regretted renting a car because we really didn’t need it

The room was amazing with floor to ceiling window in the kitchen area which faced the front of the building. The view was beautiful with being on the 17th floor. The bedroom had a balcony which face the oceanfront. The room was spacious enough for all of us to be comfortable. I wish I had reserved a few more days but this trip was las minute.

While the staff were very friendly, this hotel needs so much work done. My room was so dusty and not vacuumed, and there was almost no attention to detail in the hotel. I was really surprised. Again the staff were really friendly… I just could not stay and I was supposed to be there for several nights, but I checked out and only paid for one.

The hotel was very clean, the staff were amazing. The location was very convenient as multiple restaurants close by and can walk right out to the beach and board walk from the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was a buffet style every morning.

Clean, modern, well appointed facility, kind staff - especially Kelly and Selena our breakfast catering staff, and bell hops. Great location. Overall great trip. We will definitely choose this hotel for our next trip.

Breakfast was very poor and bad.. only 3 things on their menu.. and were repeated every day..not many seats were available to sit … had to wait for some groups to leave to take their seats!
