Enjoyed our weekend getaway to the Historic Cavalier. The transition from beach to pool is very smooth and there is plenty of space, no need to have to stress about getting to the pool at 6am to reserve chairs. Enjoyed all the different spaces in the property from the lawn and patio, the refreshingly cool indoor plunge pool, to the large living room/lounge off the lobby. We enjoyed dinners in the Hunt Room and Orion's Roof, and Saturday brunch at Becca. Everyone along the way was very helpful, including the wait staff at the beach club and Robert at the bourbon tasting. Can't wait to come back!

Love everything about the Cavalier. We’ve been coming since 2018. Beach Club, nights on the lawn, whiskey…… Robert makes it feel like we are returning home.

This hotel usually doesn’t disappoint. These past several days with family though was a deal breaker. July 23,24 and 25th were a huge disappointment with food service and wait staff. Valet, checkin and room service as always were impeccable. Waiters seemed to be in no hurry to take orders, fill coffee cups, drinks, and were not prompt about attention to detail. I use to refer our guests but sadly will no longer do so. Management needs to up their game as it appears staff is pretty comfortable with a mediocre service. P Daniel, Lexington, VA
