SureStay Studio by Best Western Virginia Beach Oceanfront

The SureStay Oceanfront hotel was a pleasant surprise. The small check-in lobby is at the back of the garage, and had me wondering if I'd made a mistake. But the room key-entry elevator got us to the 4th floor fast. (I liked that security and speed) We went to our room, #404 and when we opened the door we were pleased. Spacious living room, beautiful ocean view, decent bathroom, separate bedroom, and it was VERY clean, which we appreciate very much. Really liked the kitchen with sink, stove, full-sized fridge and microwave. We have paid a lot more for a lot less! Beach access was on the 1st floor, and put you right on the boardwalk. Not much to complain about. The only negatives were: 1. Only one remote for two TV's. Could have asked for another one, but we didn't need it. 2. The neighbors next door had screaming kids, and you could hear them through the vent. Fortunately it didn't last long. Besides that, we were VERY happy with our stay.

Great bargain. A little small, but pretty clean. Enjoyed the pool, the beach, and the view. Lots of thoughtful little comforts in the room (plenty of linen, lots of hooks for hanging, lots of storage, nice sized trash can, toiletries, laundry basket, big fridge, etc.) that made our stay better. Lots of shops, restaurants, and entertainment nearby. Would return.

It's a budget motel directly on the beach. The front desk was competent and friendly making out check-in and out seemless. Our room was clean. We got the kitchen suite to be able to cook. The kitchen was adequately furnished, but was missing paper towels. My major complaint is the elevator. There is one elevator for the entire 8 floor building and it is very slow. The upper level parking lot is treacherous, but tends to be the case at all beach hotels. Overall, it served it's purpose and saved us a few dollars over other oceanfront hotels.

Nice ocean view! Saw lots of dolphins. Room was kinda small but we made it work. Elevator super slow. Staff was friendly and had everything stocked. Shops and everything walking distance from hotel.

Beach sunsets Overall the stay was good. Mattress was uncomfortable, I like to sleep on my side and I had to keep turn sides because if I laid on one side too long it started to hurt. This trip reminds me to request to be in the middle when I book my next room because the end with the elevator is noisy and if your on the 5th or 7th floor on the end with the ice machine that can get noisy as well.
