Coastal Hotel & Suites Virginia Beach - Oceanfront

After days of researching hotels, we had the option of staying here or at a Hilton property. We chose Coastal since we really wanted a parking garage and a more spacious room. The hotel did not disappoint! The room was very clean and had 2 King beds, a large oceanfront balcony and plenty of space. We opted not to have housekeeping, but they left us a bag of fresh towels outside our door every morning! The breakfast was decent with waffles, eggs, sausage or bacon, fruit, pastries. There is an indoor pool and whirlpool, but we only used the whirlpool and it was fine. The location was great, fairly centrally located on the boardwalk. We went fishing on the pier which was about an 8-10 min walk. Parking garage was great to have. We saw several people with large SUV's entering and parking without any issue. Overall, we are very happy that we ultimately chose this hotel and I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Virginia Beach with our kids and granddaughters the last weekend in May 2025! We were so glad to have chosen the Coastal Hotel and Suites for so many reasons. It was the ONLY ONE on the boardwalk ***** of so many accommodations where we could share one suite with another adult because there were TWO SUPER CLEAN AND COMFY KING SIZE BEDS separated by a full bathroom and even a wooden sliding door for privacy. I travel a lot and nowhere else has that been the case! The hotel is right on the boardwalk and literally steps away from the very clean and well patrolled beach. The beach is quite welcoming with fun but safe waves for swimmers of all ages and abilities. The Hotel stay included FREE PARKING, FREE HOT BREAKFAST DAILY AND FREE WI-FI. The INDOOR HEATED POOL was big and deep enough for me to swim laps. The jacuzzi also provided much needed relaxation time after a full day of activities. Breakfast is from 7:30am to 9:30 & extends to 10am on weekends with super warm and friendly staff. It is located central to many eateries and activities, but is also peaceful and quiet with a family vibe that sets it apart from the more raucous atmosphere of the tourist scene of other accommodations on the *****. The suites all have large balconies with comfortable seating for enjoying spectacular views of the sandy beach and the sunset from close up. The Coastal Hotel and Suites provided everything we needed and made our stay just right to kick off the 2025 summer. We will definately return to the Coastal Hotel and Suites!

Good Service Staff was helpful and friendly. A clogged sink was fixed quickly upon arrival. Comfort is ok. Bed was good. Bathroom and TV room needs updating. Couch and chairs were uncomfortable and fluorescent lighting jarring.

Staff was amazing and breakfast was great. The hotel and its facilities were clean. The rooms are a little outdated but the balcony view was amazing. The location was perfect as it was near by many restaurants and shops. Kid friendly and I would stay again.

I loved being on the boardwalk. So convenient going to the beach and walking to restaurants. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast had many options to choose from, and the staff was wonderful about cleaning tables as soon as guests finished so others could sit. We look forward to going back.

1. Code face man at the front counter seems an unhappy employee. 2. Air condition stopped functioning completely in the middle of a hot night. No repair nor apology. 3. They skipped room service even after we asked them to do it.
