The hotel was average and a little disappointed for my anniversary. I paid for breakfast and wasn’t told the Christmas Eve breakfast was reservations only. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed and the breakfast they offered was not up to par from what I was offered the day prior.
The receptionist lady tried to solve the issue and was very nice but the issue wasn’t solved.

Following a horrifying experience with a different hotel, I treated myself with a night at Founder's. I had an exceptional interaction with all of the staff. Huge thanks to Ivenia for being a delight. The buildings and grounds are perfect to relax in. When the weather was nice, I was in the outdoor pool and when I wanted a warmer experience, I was in the indoor pool. At night, after a warm, delicious meal in-house in their restaurant and a drink at the bar, I had the pleasure of walking around their lake. The night atmosphere is just as lovely as it is day time.

For a premium listed property, the dining and amenities were all seemingly coin operated in a way that a bargain hotel might be. Even the infrared sauna available at a holiday inn was for a fee at the front desk, no water in the room, and the airport shuttle and a simple burger totaled $14 and $35 respectively.

The Founder’s Inn was pretty, went there for a wedding. The venue was beautiful. The food was good. Stayed at this HILTON property but the rooms are old and dated. Not up to par for a Hilton hotel. The worst part was the housekeeping service. Waited over 1 hour (called the front desk 3 times for shower gel) that needed to be refilled. Dirty towels left on the ground. By the third day-we declined housekeeping services.

I attended a college event with my son and we had the fortunate experience of meeting so many wonderful people that work at The Founder's Inn and Spa. The first night we arrived our key card would not work and D'Mario, head of security, was so kind to help us into our room and walk us over and call the next morning to bring over our new keys. Emily and Stephen and Justine were amazing to us while we dined at the Swan Terrace for breakfast and dinner. Michelle helped us get a massage at the Almond Spa. Overall, one of the best weekend getaways. I really hope my son chooses Regent University because I will love coming here to visit! The people are what makes it an authentic amazing experience!

During Oct 2025 Our first rating was 5 stars and 3 weeks later we received our Visa bill, the Swan Terrace Restaurant added a $5 charge for a tip for a 2 day breakfast buffet. The buffet charge was pre-paid with our room charge. We hand delivered a $5 bill cash tip each day to the waitress for bringing orange juice. I complained to the Restaurant Mgr. and she states $5 was written on the charge and a copy would be sent to my email. I have not received a copy and I never entered $5 on the bill. On Nov 1, 2025, I emailed the Gen Mgr. Ms. Ellen Runne explaining my complaint and I have never received a response from her. We were planning to stay at the Inn within 6 months but not now.

Had a great stay here even if it was just one night. The room was nice, clean and comfortable and the grounds were beautiful. The van driver D'Mario was humorous and hospitable. All in all the people were great and would recommend.
