Rented room for 1 night at $297.00 so that my family could enjoy the indoor pool. Family included 19 yr old daughter, 3 sons ages 4,5&8. And my ex wife’s 26yr old sister (autistic and epileptic) I have legal guardianship over.. booked later
In the day for one night arrived about 8pm. Was told by staff checking us in pool was closed for whatever reason and that it would definitely be open back up by 9am next morning. Was told I’d be upgraded to late checkout for free so that kids could enjoy pool before we left. Next morning pool still not opened and was not given late checkout. Had it not been for the staff member I spoke with I would have had 30 mins to get everyone packed up and out the room. One saving grace was staff member that morning. Will never return

Location was good. Facilities were decent. The entire place is due for a remodel. The room furniture was definitely getting pretty worn. The hotel was very busy, but the areas around the pool were routinely very dirty, despite the constant presence of the pool attendant.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. It’s showing its age. Staff still friendly. Still has multiple good pools if you have kids. Also a theater and kids’ play room. And our meal at the Square Whale was good. But our AC was very loud and rattled, and our balcony door was a struggle to open and close. Carpet and wallpaper in room and throughout the hotel are worn and ripped. Also shrinkflation in that things that used to be included are now extra charges. Okay for our quick beach trip but Holiday Inn corporate should consider this hotel for a refresh.

The hotel is outdated and needs to be upgraded. Too very tiny elevators that move slowly yet the doors are quick to slam on you. Very hard to find parking in their garage. Had a broken sink handle when we first got into our room. It was just laying there, not even attached. I don’t know how that goes unnoticed. We switched to a second room and my son looked into cheesy sleeper so far. It was filthy in there so it couldn’t be used to sleep on. I would not stay there again. The only good thing I could say about it was that the beds were comical..

This place is not accessible and friendly with people with disabilities. You make a reservation in an ocean front hotel and need to walk 2 blocks to go into the beach just because they don't have a ramp for whilechairs. Additionally, they charge those room like a resort, and it is like a motel, we really feel discriminated here, never back again

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn north beach and we very disappointed in the services and condition of hotel. Hotel is not staffed properly, dirty, and in general disrepair. Ceilings in multiple rooms on the 4th floor have been patched poorly after water damage from the 5th floor - Ceiling is literally crumbling and falling on the beds. When leaving your room, room garbage is left in the hallways of the hotel - disgusting. Poorly staffed in house keeping, with a large portion of the staff unable to speak English for effective communication. Your paying 5 star prices for a 1 or 2 star hotel
