Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Kevin and the valet team at the Hilton Oceanfront are the unsung heroes who make arriving and leaving the establishment smooth and effortless. They greet you with a smile, even when it is very busy. We attended a NVBCL event at the Sky Bar and stayed for dinner at Catch 31 and all the staff we encountered were friendly and professional. The view of the ocean and the sunset from the Sky Bar was spectacular. The food and drinks were also good. The service was fantastic and fast, even though there were many guests.

Great location. Right by Neptune statue on the boardwalk. Great live music outside in the evening. Great room. Super comfortable. Paid with points so I got the expected lousy view. No big deal. The only real downside was the cost of parking. $25 a night.

My stay was wonderful! The rooms are really nice and all of the staff are very helpful and friendly. They really provide excellent customer service. Josh at the front desk and Matt went out of their way to help me out and I really appreciate them; way to go!❤️

The Hilton Va Beach is very nice with offering an array of different rooms. In order to access certain floors and the sky bar and pool - you must have a room which is an extra safety feature. At the check in desk, they do have a small market for any sundries or toiletries you may have forgotten. They also have valet or self parking, self-parking is free - they will give you a code at check in (parking garage is nice). I have stayed here several times and I feel that hotel could use some sprucing up. They also mobile entry to your room which is nice. I’d stay here again for sure, I do think the rooms are very much overpriced for what they offer.

My sister and fiancé had their wedding reception at the Hilton Oceanfront this past weekend. The event was great and the hotel staff was amazing. It was a busy weekend with numerous weddings and the air show but our stay was still great. I especially wanted to give a shout out to the entire Valet Team. They were so helpful with helping to unload things for the reception and most specifically Dan and Cisco. They helped us with carts, cars, cookies and more. Can't thank them enough for all their support the entire weekend.

The hotel we stayed in was in remodling mode. But the room was clean phone didn't work because they were in the process of upgrading them. We might be staying there next month again. Hopefully the remodling is finish when we stay there this time.

Arrived late around 11 pm. We were greeted with friendly staff and was directed to our room immediately. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was updated as well. I was a little bummed that the roof top bar was closed but it was a week night.

We checked into the hotel for the weekend expecting great things. Sadly, our experience did not come close to living up to our expectations. On a positive note, the hotel is in an outstanding location adjacent to the Neptune statue on the boardwalk. The Catch 31 restaurant in the hotel is also absolutely outstanding with top notch food and service all-around. The rooms are a bit dated but are decently size and have incredible views. Parking is charged daily but at least is convenient via an attached garage. The negatives are almost too numerous to list. As other reviewers have noted, the elevators are small and long lines frequently form to use them. We waited in line on a Saturday night for almost 15 minutes to get on the elevator with our two-year-old daughter and had similar waits other times. In fact, this is perhaps the only hotel I have EVER stayed in where they post "slow elevator" times on each floor to encourage you not to use it at peak times. Seriously? How about just fixing your elevator situation? If Vegas resorts can figure it out, so can you. Begging your guests to avoid using the lifts at "peak usage" times is just pathetic. Housekeeping never came to our room. Not once for a three-night stay. When my wife called to complain the desk manager actually stated that the hotel considered housekeeping to be an "optional" service that they were not obligated to provide to their guests. Not even for advanced tier Hilton Honors members. Lol. The rooftop pool does have stunning views, but it was kind of ruined by drunken guests, each with their own competing boomboxes (explicitly prohibited by posted pool rules but of course totally unenforced) ruining the experience for everyone else. This might be fine in the evening but not in the middle of the day mixed in with families trying to enjoy the day poolside with their kids. Speaking of the evening, DO NOT BOOK A ROOM ON FLOORS 17-20. You WILL hear and feel the bass from the rooftop nightclub adjacent to the pool, and you will hear and feel it until 2am in the morning. And yes, they absolutely charge more for these rooms, especially those with an ocean view. Hilton can do better and DOES do better at most of their properties which leads us to think that this is a local management issue. Whatever the cause is, this place has some major issues when you consider its already high price point.

Hotel is clean, check in was excellent, but restaurant experience was terrible mainly because service and management were lacking. Watched other tables receive excellent service while our waiter ignored us and management did nothing to correct the issue after speaking with them!
