The interior is old (as it should be), but well maintained. The interior is why in different styles and eras, but everything works well together. Lots of light and little dust (it's often the other way around in old buildings). A small castle with only 5 rooms for visitors. NB! Since it is a private accommodation, it does not make sense to expect services at the level of an international hotel. The pool is not very big, but it is quite new and heated. Very quiet at night and nice birdsong in the morning. We stayed in a lot of palaces on this trip, and this palace was the smallest of them, but as accommodation it was the best. In our room, it was only possible to wash in the bath, but the hand shower hose was so short that you could only rinse yourself while sitting in the bath, it was unusual and a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast selection is not rich, but everything is there and we were full. Apparently by French standards the selection is very good, but in the north we are brought up with the knowledge that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and that we don't eat sweets for breakfast. Our mobile internet didn't work there, but the house's Wi-Fi was OK. In a very remote place in the forest. It can be problematic to get there with a low sports car, as you have to drive a few kilometres along the unpaved road. There are several restaurants within a 15-20 minute drive.

Grande et belle demeure. Chambres ravissantes et en parfait état (nous étions en famille au 2ème étage), accueil chaleureux par la propriétaire et excellente table d’hôtes ! Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour et reviendrons ! Très bien placé pour visiter Chambord.

Nous, une famille avec 3 enfants adultes, avons séjourné ici du 23 au 26 août 2023. Nous avons passé des jours merveilleux au Château de la Giraudière. Le château est un joyau, dans un état magnifique et authentique, non défiguré par des rénovations insensibles, et pourtant en très bon état. L'accès est déjà magique : après un long trajet à travers beaucoup de forêt sur une petite route, on voit soudain le château devant soi. Claudine est l'hôtesse parfaite et très aimable. Si vous souhaitez un contact, elle se fera un plaisir de discuter avec vous, sans s'imposer. Il faut absolument réserver aussi la table d'hôte - l'ambiance est unique et la nourriture excellente. Ici, tout a du style, mais avec un certain understatement, on se sent tout simplement bien. Nous reviendrons !

Chateau di atmosfera, ma mal gestito. La nostra stanza, venduta come suite era in realtà un sottotetto, senza armadio, senza doccia, senza porta valigie, con materasso e arredo del letto vecchi. Impianto di climatizzazione e ascensore assenti. Nella permanenza durata tre notti la camera non è mai stata pulita, aspirata e sistemata, bagno compreso. La proprietaria, indisponibile ad ascoltare qualsiasi richiesta, è assolutamente inadatta ad essere a contatto con il pubblico e a gestire, quindi, una struttura ricettiva. Conto stellare.

Un accueil à la fois charmant et professionnel. Une très grande disponibilité, un cadre idyllique. Les chambres sont décorées avec beaucoup de soins. Je recommande également la table d'hôte. Hâte de revenir.

Uitstekend verblijf. Top klasse! verdient een 10/10. Rustig kader. Ontbijt en avondmaal (home made by de gastvrouw) waren bijzonder goed. Voor al wie de kastelen van de Loire wil verkennen ... een echte aanrader!
