Beachcomber Cottages on Vilano

The lookout suite(unit 93) exceeded our expectations! The best thing about it was its privacy and proximity to the beach. It is truly on the ocean. We could enjoy the view from inside the suite, and the balcony was a great place to sit in the afternoon shade while taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean. We loved the roof viewing area for relaxing in the ocean breezes, and access to the beach itself is directly from the property. The interior is nicely decorated and clean, the shower ran hot immediately and had great pressure, and the delivered breakfast was delicious and varied. We walked down to the nearby Publix to get some deli food for several meals and were super happy not to have to leave the area to eat, although St. Augustine and its many restaurants was only a short drive. The beach itself is lovely and not too crowded. Although there were guests in the lower suites of the house, we didn’t hear them and felt very secluded. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and would love to come back again!

The location and the relative privacy of our unit 93 were great. A very short walk over a romantic boardwalk to the beach, a convenient shower to remove the sand, a gorgeous roof-top sundeck with magnificent views and a nice porch. Vacation pure! The room was OK although seating possibilities inside were somewhat limited. The bathroom was relatively spacious with a great shower. A small fridge, a microwave and a coffeemaker as well as some glasses, utensils and plates including the all important cork screw completed the equipment. Would have been nice to have an ice maker somewhere. Staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome despite a power outage shortly after arrival (a breaker had tripped - inaccessible for us). They brought breakfast every morning, which was a nice and welcome gesture but I must say somewhat under par (see picture). I understand that it is not easy to get breakfast from the main house to the cottages, but I think improvements should be possible. Overall it was a great stay and we’ll make sure to come back.

We stayed in the Lookout Suite while we were in town eloping (via Bayfront Marin House). We had the most wonderful time. The view from the room is amazing, and the walk straight down from the cottage to the ocean is so nice. Our only complaint was that, as nice as that giant bathtub is, you sometimes run out of hot water before the tub is full (this was for us, when we stayed there in early February. Probably not a problem if you're there in the warmer months). All in all, a cute room, a beautiful view, and a great beach to get married on!

We stayed in the Royal Cottage, the views are unbelievable, the furnishings, the bathroom and especially the shower are all bonuses. The daily breakfast basket was very good and we got to eat breakfast each morning overlooking the Atlantic Ocean! I would highly recommend staying here, beach access is easy walk from unit. I almost forgot the deck with two loungers is nice extra!
