Hosts were very friendly and helpful, space design is wonderful, namely the combination of architectural elements. House was very comfortable, practical and exceptionally clean. Children love the park, mainly the jumper. It's very nice to wake up in such a lightful and airy space. Outstanding experience.

My husband and I spent one week at Casa do Socalco and we fell in love with the Encosta. The house is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. Breakfast was included and opulent!!! Every morning we had fresh bread, cheese from Serra de Estrela, cake and much more. Luisa, Hugo and Cely made our stay enjoyable in every way: giving us advice of places to visit, where to go for a delicious meal and making sure we had everything we needed in the house. The house is a great location to use as base to visit the Serra da Estrela.

One of the best places we have ever stayed for customer service: Hugo was attentive, made useful suggestions for lunch/dinner and sightseeing, including the 12km Mondego Walkways in Serra da Estrela, in the municipality of Guarda. He checked daily what breakfast provisions we needed. The local sheep's cheeses are delicious. Each morning fresh bread rolls would appear in a linen bag attached to our door. This it is a wonderfully peaceful location and we enjoyed our private deck and heated pool. The place is a well stocked, self-contained hideaway. There was so much to explore that we got back too late each night so we never got a chance to light the wood burner! The interior of Portugal is very unique and steeped in history. We had warm breezy days (you will need sunblock!) and chillier evenings and this was towards the end of March. The huge neo-lithic granite rocks scattered throughout this district give this place a unique look. We found the surrounding valleys magical. The flowering magnolias, forsythia, hawthorns, alders and cherry blossoms all sat alongside olive and orange groves. We refilled our water bottles in the communal taps provided in each of the surrounding villages. We will be returning to this special area of Portugal again and again. Thank you Hugo and family for making our stay so welcoming.

We spent 1 week in Encosta do Sobreiro, with our kids, on August. Luisa and Hugo are the best hosts ever! They are always available and really committed for the guest to have a great time. They bring every day fresh products for the breakfast and it's great that we can have breakfast when we want, no worries about schedule! I have to highlight the home made cake baked by Luisa everyday and the fresh juices! The house has 2 bedrooms really confi, linen are soft and with a smooth parfum, the decor is modern and light, the kitchen is totally prepared and the best part is the outside porch with a heated swimming pool with a magnificent view! Even the baby loved the heated pool! In Encosta do Sobreiro, 100m from the house there's a playground for the entire family! All of us jumped in the trampoline, played football, volleyball, table tênis... It's impossible to be bored in Encosta do Sobreiro! The porch has a barbecue and we cooked a fantastic dinner. Luisa and Hugo gave us great tips to go out for dinner or to order (pizza,...) We all miss Encosta do Sobreiro, Luísa and Hugo! See you soon! .

We had a wonderful stay at Encosta do Sobreiro with our family of 5. The whole property is perfect for a stay with a family from the kids play area to the pools and setting. The house we stayed in is designed very well and was very comfortable and extremely well equipped. The attention to detail is excellent with small touch making it feel like a luxurious stay in what is already a beautifully designed guest home. Communication with Hugo is excellent - he is always friendly and helpful and responses promptly to all requests. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and will definitely return! Definitely book a stay here if you are looking to visit the beautiful Serra de Estrela region of Portugal, where Hugo and his family will look after you!

Ficamos 4 noites na casa da Lareira. A nossa estadia foi 5 estrelas. A atenção ao detalhe foi de um nível elevadissimo. A casa está muito bem pensada e bem decorada, com uma vista lindissima e condições fantásticos. O pão é entregue fresquinho todos os dias na porta e o pequeno almoço reposto sempre que necessário, o que funcionou muito bem para a nossa familia. A casa da Lareira tem piscina privativa e está ao mesmo tempo a alguns passos da piscina salgada comum, ambas maravilhosas. Os miudos adoraram o parque infantil com o trampolim e todas as outras atividades disponíveis. Os jardins são muito bonitos e a vista é muito boa. Sentimos que estavamos de férias num ambiente muito acolhedor e familiar. Nota-se que têm muito orgulho no espaço deles e estão sempre prontos a ajudar com qualquer coisa que surja. Recomendo a encosta do sobreiro para umas férias para relaxar em família. Os miudos já querem voltar!
