Hotel location is great, right in the center.
Room is a bit outdated, but clean.
Parking is free.
Breakfast is simple but ample, come with scrambled eggs and bacon's, cornflakes and different breads.
Rception staff was helpful

This hotel is functional. The room was dated, but clean. The rooms out the back over incredible views into the gorge that runs through town. Breakfast was decent. Parking is on-site, easy, secure, and free.

L’albergo è in zona centrale ed è dotato di un garage sotterraneo; la prima colazione è di buona qualità benché necessiterebbe di qualche scelta in più. Personale cordiale e ambienti puliti. Di contro l’albergo che penso risalga agli anni ottanta andrebbe rinnovato in molte sue parti, gli arredi sono datati ed il letto non molto comodo. Nel complesso lo valuto buono ma certamente per raggiungere le quattro stelle di lavoro da fare ce ne’

Perched precariously on the slopes of a steep gorge in the centre of Vila Real sits this marvellous hotel. Beautiful outside and inside it is a treat for the guest. My room was spacious, stylish, and practical. It has a fridge. The bar man was excellent. The restaurant is delightful and my heartiest congratulations to the chef and kitchen team who, for our three night stay, excelled themselves in producing a limited buffet menu of exceptional quality. (Whole) Fish, meat, rices, etc. I've eaten a fair few hotel buffet dinners and this was the equal of any of them. Congratulations to the kitchen team. Reception staff were exceptional too, very professional. Some quirky wall art around too which was lovely, interesting and stimulating. The icing on the cake for my stay - and cementing this hotel's reputation - is that I dropped my wallet in the bar area early one evening. There was no bar staff on duty at that time and there was only one customer in the bar area who was watching football on TV. After I had gone, he saw the wallet, stood up, picked it up, and... immediately took it to reception who called me straightaway to collect it. What a fantastic guy. I was effusive in my thanks to both him and the excellent reception staff. Thank you all very much. Muito obrigado.
