Casa de Tortuga Guesthouse

Our experience at the casa de tortuga, was absolutely wonderful. Brenda, our host was willing to get up extra early and head over so we could check in around 9. We told he not to but it was truly the thought that counted. Our room was clean, the A/C worked great, and the place itself was beautiful. Definitely would stay here again!

Staying Here Again Fantastic option on Vieques. Clean, comfy and great location within Esperanza. Definitely staying here again on our next visit.

Skip is a great guy to talk to and made sure everyone had the things and advice they needed, including during a blackout when he had his generator going. The hotel was an easy place to be for a few days. Esperanza is a small town with a lot of eating options that we enjoyed walking around and

We adored Casa De Tortuga and had an awesome stay in Esperanza. Our kids (4+6) loved the roosters, chickens, horses, cats, and dogs wandering the neighborhood. And they absolutely adored Skip who showed them his fruit trees and let them pick mangos, star fruit and pomegranate -- so cool. It was a perfect base camp for exploring the island. We loved having 2 bedrooms and a little kitchenette to make quick picnics for the beach. It's easily walkable to the heart of Esperanza (even for our 4 year old). We wish we would have stayed another night instead of going to Fajardo. TIP: The neighborhood roosters take their job very seriously and the cockadoodledoo-ing starts at about 5:30am. Our kids sleep with a sound machine so they weren't bothered. After the first night, we got wise and turn on "Ocean Sounds" on our phone to drown them out a bit and get another hour of sleep!

Wish we had paid more for a better stay at another place. we won't be back.
