Hotels in Mekong Riverside, Vientiane

Phenomenal stay. The front desk service is so helpful and friendly, especially Aiy. Comfortable and spacious room with a very comfortable bed. All the usual amenities in the room that you'd expect. However, it wasn't perfectly cleaned. The gym was good with everything you need. Buffet breakfast was 16 USD and was pretty good. The meats and cheese were the highlights, but the selection was quite Asian. The swimming pool lets the hotel down. It's freezing cold. And the jacuzzi takes hours to heat up. Although they turn it on ahead of time if you let them know. Great location, 5 minutes walk to the night market and tons of cafe & restaurants around. Overall, it was a great stay with fantastic customer service

This hotel looks really nice and quite new. So I was really pleasantly surprised in the beginning. However, when interacting with the reception, they do not care to help you and unaware of simple tourist questions. When checking in, they don't want to accept credit cards to put a hold for incidentals, so I had to give 30 USD. I only have $100, they don't have change to give me, so they took the full 100. My throat was hurting/sick, so I wanted to have honey with my tea at night. I ask the reception for some honey, he told me the restaurant on the 2nd floor is closed and told me to go to the roof top bar to see if they have some. I also want to do alms giving to the monk at the nearby temple, they were so unaware about what time the monks do their daily routine even though the monks walk past the hotel everyday. For such a nice hotel, the service is equivalent of a cheap motel.

everything in room was top notch! even a mini bar fridge stocked etc.. but the buffet breakfast was terrible you essentially have to order something off menu for it to resemble something edible..no coffee at continental..you essentially have to order it from what looked like a bar, the hostess was a bit snooty n rude like what kind of coffee would you like? i said . coffee i didnt understand why she didnt know what coffee was shes like an americano? i said whatever..its brkfast just give me some coffee omg.. later went to visit bar on 4th floor it was during open hours, nobody there nobody at bar heard ppl in back, some guy pokes head out of door sees me doesnt ask if he could help me, just nods and rows back in door, no one shows up i finally just left..service is way to non existant and too formal like their trying to be upscale to the point you cant even get service, was told there was a shuttle to airport for $12 few hours later asked for it they said it wasnt available?

We was surprised about the good Restaurant in Front of the Hotel. The Room was ok for a Short trip because it‘s small and the wall is thin it’s not still quiet. The Location is grateful for City Trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Souphattra Heritage Hotel. The friendly staff welcomed us with big smiles and made us feel home instantly. The hotel is new and well designed. The facilities and rooms are sparkling clean. The Hotel is located in a quiet street, yet a short walking distance to cafes, restaurants and night markets. We would definitely come back at the Souphrattra Hotel on our next visit to Vientiane.

Hotel is at the excellent location but the days of it's ”glory” passed long time ago. The rooms are quite deteriorated, old furniture, fraying chair upholstery, electric sockets not firmly installed in the walls, etc. The room at the check in was quite clean but the balcony was obviously untouched by a rag with the table covered in dust. Window is big but not very clean as well. On the positive note: electric kettle worked fine and there was a hot water in the shower.

The hotel is in a convenient location with easy access to cafes, massage parlour and night market. I have emailed the hotel before our stay that it was my hubby’s birthday and if they could arrange for a slice of cake to surprise him. They said yes, however, the hotel has completely forgotten about it. Noticed that the chambermaid did not clean the toilet thoroughly as we could see the hairs on the floor daily. Hotel breakfast spread was good.

Nice & clean facilities. Front desk was very helpful. Not a fan of the $100 security deposit but I understand. Always double check your room(s) for previous damage(s) as it may count against your security deposit. My room had a sofa seat that had one of the 4 legs damaged and my brother-in-law's room had one of the sofa seat with a dirty stain so please be very advised. We had it reported so it wouldn't count against us. Morning breakfast was good. Loved the variety of food choices. Overall, our stay was pleasant and we wouldn't mind staying here again.

The hotel was convenient and easy to find from the airport. The breakfast hours were awesome and the food was tasty! The view from the pool and my balcony were enticing and relaxing. The front desk staff helped to call me taxis to get around the city. The room was spacious and clean. The tv even had English movie channels and a station dedicated to football! I would certainly stay if I came back to Vientiane.

When I first arrived at the hotel, I had been informed that I cannot check-in before 2pm ( I arrived at the hotel around 11am exhausted from train last night). However, I got a welcome drink with cold towel :). I came back at 2.30pm to check in, the room was nice. The room was at 3rd floor, so for elderly or handicapped, it’s gonna be a bit inconvenient. The bellboy also helped me to carried my luggage. Inside the room there are full of amenities inside the restroom. Refrigerator, TV, kettle and hairdryer also available. I booked one double bed so I’ve got 4 bottles of water :) For towels, it’s look a bit old one, so i just use my personal one instead. My room also have window but street view. They don’t have room service only additional snacks and beers. This room also includes American brrakfast, chicken congee and salad. You can ask for black coffee as well.
