Happily was able to find hotel whilst working for many had been sold out....that was the only good thing
Check in ok
Wasn't given any wifi code
Was going to be my only perk from the room having wifi, for the bar was closed for covid and the restuarant was closed for renovation, least we forget the pool that had no water....no wifi made it so I couldn't stream my own shows and I ended up missing and online symposium I had hoped to be a part of
I walked up to the front desk since they no longer where answering my calls from my phone, during my inquiry about the wifi
And was told maintenance was working on it( guessing another lie)
Called trip.com about the issue later in the night between
2130-2200 , they called up to front desk and was told the wifi should be better at night....I check yet again to find no wifi
Between talking to trip.com again and them calling up to the hotel again to get no answer(because the 2200 hour passed) because past that hour there was no front desk...seeming the simple fix answer they gave of the wifi should be better at night was just to get them off the phone so they could escape themselves from fixing the issue.
So there I went to sleep...figuring that would be my only problem...boy was I to be wrong
Woke up the next morning and went to get breakfast ...to return to the room and have my card key not work on the door..
Walked to the front desk to inquire as to why....they said the trip.com people said I was going to check out so they turned off the key at check out time...I politely told them no they where just trying to get a refund because of the lack of wifi...they cut me new cards for the room ...I contacted trip.com and they said they had not told the front desk I was leaving ,just that I was upset about the lack of wifi and was looking for compensation
When I went to the, now open front desk, In the early morning hours after waking...I walked up and asked when the check out time for room 127 was going to be...desk clerk didn't look up room, just stated the normal 11am check out time...I refrazed my question what time did you check out room 127 to get the same reply...
I told the clerk I had to sleep I'm my vehicle in the freezing weather because there was no way to contact anyone at the hotel with my problem at 140 in the am....he asked why I didn't get help from security...I informed him I never saw any security, not when I was banging on the front desk door nor the hours I spent sleeping in the the freezing parking lot
I yelled about how crappy the experience at the hotel had been after getting a key cut so I could retrieve my items from the room and to return to the lobby asking to speak to a manger...clerk refused to call Manger.
I contacted trip.com yet again to inform them about the issue, they called front desk and Said the manager would be in @4 in the afternoon and they would get back to me....still I have not gotten an response from anyone about the hotel from hell
It is now a day later and I'm still waiting on some form of response about this nightmare of an experience...still haven't had a shower, still haven't slept in a bed
So to recap hotel had none of the perks stated on the site
No pool
No bar
No restuarant
NO WIFI
No phone
No alarm clock
Shower built for child sized people
They locked me out of the room twice, once on a freezing night leaving me no choice but to sleep in vehicle
The management and front desk are basically none existent, and there is no way to get help if there is an emergency at Night
This is hands down the worst experience in a hotel I have ever experienced
NEVER STAY AT THE Green Tree Inn and extended stay!!!
I couldn't even just use the room as a room and had to fend for my own safety from the cold winters night
If I could give this place no start I would...truthfully I'd take them away and give it a negative star rating...
