Swans Brewery, Pub & Hotel

The "one bedrooms" are not truly a bedroom. They are a loft. We specifically booked this hotel to have separate room for our baby to sleep. The front end promised the managed would call me first this in the morning as we arrived in the evening. I left my phone number, name and room number. I never received a call. While checking in the front end assured me management would be able to help resolve the problem. Very disappointing they never called. It was an expensive room to book with false advertisement. Be careful what you book. The room was also extremely hot and you cant have windows open because the bar downstairs has music blaring until 2am.

Our appartment was clean and comfortable with a very interesting and different layout and decor. The location is ideal for exploring Vancouver and it is so easy to pop round to the Swans pub for drinks or a meal although the two establishments seem to operate largely separately.

The location is great and the staff friendly, but this place was extremely noisy, to the point that we were unable to sleep. They have rooms they rent out as party space, and there is no sound insulation. Even after complaining to the front desk at midnight, the noise continued. I would not stay here again.

They don’t brew their own beer anymore. This was the main reason we booked our room here. This would have been the 4rth time we booked but the first time in over a decade. We didn’t know they didn’t brew their own beer until til we went to the bar. My husband was devastated. Other than that, the location is great. You’re right in the centre of everything. Walking distance to the main tourist attractions including China Town, at least 3 brewpubs, the waterfront, the Empress hotel, Miniature World, and good restaurants and retail. Rooms are great and more like one bedroom suites with lots of character. Clean and comfortable. Good service at the front desk. Our room was right above the bar, which we knew ahead of time and had no issues with it. We slept fine and were only temporarily awakened by the song of last call. It sounded like the whole bar was singing. But it was cute! We would have been down there with them but my husband was still grieving the no more swans brewed beer, so he refused to go into the bar. Other than street noise, we enjoyed the room although it was very expensive compared to the last time we went. I booked online through the hotel website and have trouble believing that it was the only room available at that price. Over 300$ seemed insane for one night. It’s a great hotel but we will never stay there again only because our main reason for always going back was their beer. Next time we will try somewhere else.

Swans was amazing. As a couple with two older kids (11 and 16) who travel frequently, we really value having some space to spread out. When I found Swans, as an alternative to a traditional hotel room, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. But honestly, the pictures do not do this place justice. It was huge. It was also spotlessly clean, and the staff were so helpful and kind. We asked for an extra blanket and had one within minutes, they gave great advice on where to park (parking isn't available on site, but there are a number of parkades and parking lots nearby). The building was secure. The kids said the fold-out couch was very comfortable, and the bed in the loft was a KING. 10/10 would recommend

Super friendly staff, excellent location and wonderful place to stay in the heart of downtown. Very tidy space and has everything you need and more. Street parking is available as well. If you are looking for the best place in town to stay, I couldn't recommend enough!
