Victoria Falls River Lodge

From the moment we arrived, this Glamping tent was pure magic. Set right on the banks of the Zambezi River, we were treated to breathtaking sunsets, the sounds of hippos at night, and the peaceful rhythm of the river flowing by. The tent itself was next-level — spacious, beautifully styled, with all the creature comforts (yes, even hot showers and comfy beds!) while still letting you feel connected to nature. Falling asleep to the sounds of the wild and waking up to sunrise over the water was something we’ll never forget. And the food – wow. Every meal was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. From breakfast by the river to candlelit dinners under the stars, the dining experience was just as memorable as the setting. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Whether it was a freshly prepared meal, a boat ride, or simply sharing stories around the fire, every moment felt meaningful. If you're after adventure and luxury, this is the place. We didn’t want to leave!

My wife and I stayed in July 2025, with mixed feelings. The lodge main building was nice, with views of the Zambezi. One of our outings was to Victoria Falls, which was amazing. Certainly the highlight of our stay were the animals that came through camp during the day. There were a large group of mongooses, which were adorable. There were also warthogs, baboons, impala, and crocs by the river. In the evening, we saw hippos and water buffalo in camp. The game drives were disappointing, with a lot of driving and not seeing much. The river cruises were better with hippos, elephants, crocs and a lot of birds. We had a number of communication and service issues during our stay. There were several issues where we things were not communicated, so we didn't know what was going on, or where dinner was that evening. Service was good overall, but inconsistent, where we had to ask for things several times. In part, I think was due to the large groups that were in and out of the lodge during our stay. We were shuffled from guide to guide during our stay, to accommodate the larger groups. The larger groups were clearly the lodge's priority, and my wife and I were not. There were also a couple of cringey interactions with staff aggressively looking for tips. The rooms were very nice, with the exception of the shower. Our shower was unenclosed, just a shower head sticking out of the bathroom wall, with open slats in the floor for drainage. So taking a shower, you got the entire bathroom floor wet. Second the open slats allowed a highway for bugs to come in at night, which was less than ideal. The food was good overall, but limited selection, particularly for healthier options. A couple of service call outs - Glanda our dining server was so nice! Winnie kept our room immaculate. And Canisio at the bar really went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of.

This Lodge gets a 5 and more. The accommodation weee stunning, the food delicious, but the best part was the staff and service. Our guides, butler and staff took excellent care of us!! Wish I could have stand a little longer. If you want to be spoiled this is the place for you!

It was such a relaxing and amazing stay on the Zambezi river. You arrive by boat which is not only scenic, but incredibly relaxing. Elephants and water buffalo strolled through the camp in the two short days we were there. Service is impeccable, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Would love to come back one day.

Excellent lodge nestled along the Zambezi. Accommodations are very comfortable and every staff member goes out of their way to ensure guests have a memorable stay. The entire lodge is situated inside the Zambezi National Park, so animals roam freely. Elephants, monkeys, warthogs, and many other animals passed by our unit every day and both the sunrize and sunet boat safaris were incredibly relaxing and allowed us to see wlidlife, including hippos on land along the banks.

Peaceful and quiet with beautiful views of the Zambezi River. Excellent staff, excellent food, beautiful presented, big comfortable room with all the amenities you might need and more! Knowledgeable river guides.
