Beautiful self catering Lodges in the grounds of Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. Clean, well equipped and reasonably priced. Various wild animals arrive to the excitement of everyone. A choice of restaurants if required or self cater. I was very impressed.

If you like feeling like you’re back at summer camp, this is your place. It’s not nice, so don’t have high expectations. So soap in bathrooms, bathroom was not very nice and the shower was hard to work. It was either scorching hot or cold. It took forever to figure out. It’s not nice so don’t expect a lot. Only WiFi is at the reception area. Lots of spiders in our cabin. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Unfortunately we could not travel due to Covid- was not reimbursed and now they state they have changed hands so will not acknowledge our booking which was paid in full. Even after a number of emails where promises of full reimbursement were made no money was ever received. Would not recommend using this company.

Negative: Unfortunately what was advertised and the reality did not correlate. This included the price that was, and still is, indicated on the website despite the false advertising being brought to the attention of Gladys who handled our booking. We made payment at the higher price to confirm our booking. After payment was made no further communication was answered or attended to including a query before and a complaint after our stay. The unit included linen and towels with holes, inadequate basic cutlery for the booking for 4 people, no instant tea/coffee, no washing up clothes/soap. Only after enquiring did we receive some of the above items. We did not get what we paid for, especially considering the higher price than advertised. Positive: the swimming pool was the highlight of our stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights. We had a green hut which was filthy and falling apart. The door didn't even shut properly, and the windows were falling apart. The shower block was disgusting with only one shower working. The toilet doors don't lock. The only positive is the location to the town. Avoid Avoid Avoid!

We stayed at the Victoria Falls Rest Camp and found it to be a good compromise for a solution that wasn't too expensive and close to Vc Falls. the bungalow was large with two bedrooms each with two single beds, kitchen, bathroom and a small entrance/dining room. Cleanliness is not excellent but sufficient, the interior is very spartan and the single color of the rooms has a bit of a "prison" effect. The outside is pleasant enough but dark at night, so best to have a torch to move between bungalows or from the bungalow to the pool/bar/reception. It's close enough to go out for dinner even outside the rest camp. Wifi works well near the reception.

There is a big variety of accommodation at the rest camp so take care you book the right option. I am reporting having stayed in a fully self-catering lodge. Positives : relatively spacious; good shower with very hot water (also a bath); beds comfortable Negatives : furniture a little mix and match and looks a bit tatty but maybe not as bad as it looks; kettle didn't switch off; minimal cutlery and crockery provided; no hot water in the kitchen sink; no mosquito net (but there was a ceiling fan) The camp in general is in an excellent location for most of the Vic Falls attractions and activities. It has pleasant surroundings and the grounds include a swimming pool and a restaurant, where the food is good for both breakfast and dinner though the service was a little slow. Wifi (rather erratic) is available at the reception and in the restaurant. I would also say that the lady we interacted with at the gate was very friendly and helpful. I might be tempted to give it an extra star. If you asked me if I would stay there again, the answer would certainly be 'yes.'
