The hotel is worth the price in every aspect. The owner seems to be an immigrant from the Middle East. His English accent is heavy and I can't really understand him, but he is very nice and welcoming. The scenery of the hotel is beautiful and worth staying in. The room is very clean

Words can’t even explain how bad my stay was. First of all, when we got to our room there was a strong smoke smell and the room was obviously not kept up, not to mention the water smell and you can tall the water wasn’t filtered Second of all I got into bed and I started feeling very itchy so I looked all the the bed to find out there were bed bugs all over and before I could get out I already had a rash all over me. I had no place to go so I had to sleep in the bed with the bed bugs which the bed was also very very dirty. This was a horrible stay. Im never coming back.

Stayed here overnight on our way to Cabot Trail. Nice little motel and friendly service. Beautiful view. Room was clean and just what we needed for the night. Very reasonably priced. Would book again. Only drawback was because it was early in the season there wasn't much available for places to eat.

A spectacular view, an older Inn with some updating but more would have been appreciated. Bed comfortable and good pillows. A small fridge and table and 2 chairs near the window to enjoy the view. We had a ground floor room and there was seating outside as well. Fog rolled in the 2nd day and we lost our view. This was our stop to circle Cabot Trail, options in the area are limited for accommodations. I don't think the Travels Inn was really ready to take guests, the room was dusty the fella that checked us in took us to our room and went to get disposable glasses and asked if we wanted a micro wave - we said no. It looked like new air conditioners/heat pumps were recently installed to all the rooms, so work was in progress getting the place ready for the heavy tourists season. There is nothing around for restaurants, breakfast is included later in the season but we were aware so brought a few things for the fridge.

A lot of work needs to be done on this place. We drove from New Brunswick so spent 8 hours in the car and it was getting late by the time we showed up, otherwise we would’ve left and gone elsewhere. Upon arrival, the steps to the office were not shovelled at all. The host also didn’t see my reservation. The lot was also completely icy. None of the rooms steps were shovelled, including ours. I had to ask him to shovel them off. The room itself was not good. The only thing for heat was a small fan, when we entered it was freezing, although it did warm up by the middle of the night. Probably hasn’t been deep cleaned in a long time, windows and walls had cracks and holes in it, floor seems rotted underneath as it was soft, doors covered in fingerprints and dark marks, shower wall was cracked and there was something in the tub. The sink faucet came off. No cups for water, no tissues, the fridge froze the items we put in it. Stains on walls, bed frames, tables, nightstands and dresser. The drawers were filthy. Do not recommend staying here until they’ve fixed it up.

Location and lake view was perfect for relaxation. Great host loved the hospitality. Host is very kind and accomodated our request. Staff was attentive and responsive. Enjoyed the stay. Looking to be back in future.
