Probably the best holidays rental we've been in. The view is just stunning from the flat or the pool area. The flat is extremely clean and is cleaned every day. It is really comfortable place and there is everything you need inside to cook. The balcony was also very big with two tables.
The pool bar also proposes a good choice of local dishes for reasonable price
You can walk directly to the beach from the pool area, or take your car for short rides to stunning beaches (such as Litsis)
Stavros who welcomed us, was really nice and made us feel comfortable in the area.
Of course the location is a bit lost in the south coast of Crete, but it's definitely worth the journey if you want a restful time, with local people in the village. (If you want a place with sunbeds, beach bars and water activities... Well it's not really the place to go !)
The only small drawbacks were that WiFi was weak in the apartment (ok on the balcony), and that some nights there are some parties in the village downstairs that can be noisy at night (but it's not the renter's fault !)
We will come back with great great pleasure, it was an extraordinary time in the small village of Kritsi !

We decided to have a week on the south of Crete, After looking at several hotels we decided on Portela due to the view from there, We arrived and were greet by the manager and shown to our room, The room was a good size with a well equipped kitchen and a large bathroom. The pool has an amazing view over the bay and the snack bar has a good range of freshly made bar snacks and the good range of drinks, We would definitely stay there again

Abbiamo soggiornato 4 giorni in questo residence e sono stati splendidi. Indimenticabile la vista sul mare di cui si godeva dal nostro appartamento tramite una grande porta-finestra che dava su un’ampia terrazza e pareva un dipinto. Appartamenti spaziosi e bene arredati. Ottima la pulizia e la piscina a sfioro - altra vista indimenticabile sul mare - con acqua salata e un bar comodo per fare colazione o gustare uno snack durante la giornata (per pranzo e cena meglio andare in qualche taverna nelle vicinanze). Personale gentilissimo. La posizione è buona: il lungo mare si raggiunge a piedi in pochi minuti anche se per le spiagge più belle serve prendere l’automobile. Durante il nostro soggiorno malgrado l’alta stagione il residence pareva poco frequentato: in caso di folla l’area della piscina potrebbe essere piccola (5 ombrelloni per 12 appartamenti), Sogniamo di tornarci!
