Absolutely stunning and atmospheric. After a delayed arrival to Sri Lanka there was no better possible way to immerse ourselves n the most stunning surroundings. It felt like we had gone from airport to tucked away luxury in the blink of an eye.

Fantastic hotel for our first night in Sri Lanka - streets ahead of any "airport hotel" we've ever stayed in. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was great and the hotel is beautiful. The complementary drinks for Happy Hour and afternoon tea were an unexpected treat, and to top it all we were presented with an anniversary cake and basket of fruit!

A really beautiful place to stay. Everything about Wallawwa is exceptional and I just wish we could have stayed for longer. The house is stunning, rooms are spacious and beautiful, the food is excellent (we highly recommend the rice and curry) and the staff are lovely. Gorgeous gardens and pool too. Scrub and massage in the hotel spa was the best treatment I've ever had. Thank you. We will come back for longer next time!

We loved this special boutique hotel. Service was excellent and thoughtful amenities appreciated. Very well appointed throughout. We treated ourselves to fabulous spa treatments in a delightful setting. Adorable “frogs only signs” for the beautiful ponds. Creativity decorated throughout. A true find!

The perfect location to start and/ or finish a trip to Sri Lanka. Just 15 mins, but a ‘million miles’ from Colombo airport. The Wallawwa is a wonderful, boutique hotel, in a gorgeous setting. The friendly, professional staff welcome you ‘home’ to the property. They cannot do enough for you, not because it is their job, but because they genuinely want to do so. This was a return visit to the Wallawwa for my husband and I, a recommendation in itself. The food is fabulous, many ingredients from their own gardens. Don’t miss tea and freshly made cake and biscuits on the terrace, each afternoon.Spacious, comfortable rooms are perfect for a restful sleep.

The environment is serene and relaxing with amazing views and beautiful outdoor area! Exceptional service, food quality, and presentation! I am overwhelmed by the service received by Uvais, he went above and beyond for us from the start! He was very cooperative and friendly. Staff Shahen was also very attentive! Will definitely be coming back here again. Highly recommend anyone seeking a tranquil retreat. Thanks

I saw an instagram post and made the reservation then and there. Service was exceptional. Food was tasty and we enjoyed our stay. Had some wine and cocktails the boy at the restaurant was really good he gave good suggestions as well. Overall excellent service. Will be back.

High end traditional colonial style hotel that does not feel like a hotel. 18 rooms only so nice and quiet. Nice pool area. Lovely large rooms. Good shower, comfortable bed. Aircon good. Every was great. Good choice on the menu for dinner. Great quality food at a fair price. Breakfast you order off a menu which I liked as it meant you did not stuff your face. Again plenty of choice. Staff very friendly and well trained. There is a happy hour 5-6pm which turned out to be complimentary. I think afternoon tea was also complimentary although we were not told either were complimentary which is something they could improve upon but I am being very picky now. Great place. Shame only staying for one night
