Hotel Vestmannaeyjar

I was there for a three-day conference. I was able to walk to the hotel from the harbor after coming over on a ferry. I don’t know if the hotel has pick-up service. This was my third time on the island so I knew my way around. My cousin was supposed to join me but ended up cancelling so I kept the room reservation for two people instead of getting a smaller studio room. They let me check in early (around noon) which was nice. My room key card didn’t work after the first time so they gave me actual heavy metal keys. Even those were tricky. Probably time for a new door lock. My bed was comfy. Nice toiletries, mini bar, fridge, etc. My room got very hot so I left a window open most of the time (on the third floor so I felt safe). Their restaurant is the best in town with a great free breakfast. They also have two jet-less jacuzzis and a sauna in the basement. I was the only guest there when I used the area. They kind of gave me a hassle about checking out an hour later than usual which I requested because of a meeting. But I wanted to change clothes before lunch then leaving on a ferry. I would probably stay here again. Especially if I could get a room with a bathtub even though their shower had a great rain head.

Convenient Really nice hotel within walking distance of food and shopping.

Centrally located hotel. Up to date with breakfast included. Parking was easy and included.

Easy to walk most of the island, centrally located and in great condition with a great breakfast offering. Staff was a bit slow to respond, even after a few bell rings utility staff usually had to find reception staff.

Great hotel ! Spa is cute and needed for the cold winter months! Gorgeous island
