Hotels near Versailles Rive Gauche Chateau Station, Versailles

This very pleasant, moderate sized and reasonably priced hotel is close to the heart of Versailles. We were greeted in a very hospitable way and all the hotel staff were nice and friendly. This hotel offers a continental breakfast in its small restaurant and our room, although not large, was very clean and comfortable and we slept well. An added bonus was the private car park at the side of the hotel which has a limited number of spaces but which we were able to make use of. Dining out in the evening is quite easy as there are a number of good restaurants just a couple of hundred metres away in the next street and the Versailles palace and gardens are only about a one kilometre walk.

We visited just for the weekend and what an amazing time it was. The staff on reception were professional and welcoming, speaking a number of different languages, including English, as did all the staff we encountered during our stay. I was so thankful for this as I saw one of the reviews which stated an expectation to speak French, this was simply not the case for us. We had a fabulous spacious 4th floor room on the park side with a small balcony. The bed was by far the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in so far and the slippers provided, a much better quality that those in other hotels and we have been to a fair few. The bathroom was great, but just a word of caution if having a soak in the tub as it’s very prone to slipping due to the shape. A rubber mat for inside the bath is provided for you to use. Breakfast was a buffet only (no menu) and was very limited, although you can order a number of different egg dishes. There was just one chef and a bit of a queue. I don’t think this was unusual as there was a polite notice asking guests to come back once they have placed their order, which I did and maybe I shouldn’t have as it seemed that my order was then put on the back burner. I know this as I saw countless others guest getting their orders in and receiving their dishes before me. It’s only when I approached the station that the chef then went to get my order. The eggs Benedict received was ok but very close to being hard boiled and I prefer a runny yolk. The breakfast experience overall was ok, with staff being very polite when you asked them something, but this could have been better by them checking in to see if we had everything we needed, e.g. more coffee. I always think when it comes to hotels and indeed in life that ‘you don’t know what you don’t know’ and so far this year we’ve had exceptional service at breakfast from the Westin Palace Madrid and a truly amazing buffet with options to order extra dishes at the Ritz Carlton in Vienna, both of which renewed my faith in the hotel breakfast experience, so I know more can be done here at this hotel. We didn’t swim in the pool but it was a good size. The gym was amazing if you like like to keep your exercise up whilst away and the staff were very friendly. A tip for guests wanting to visit Versailles Palace & gardens, get you tickets from the concierge if you haven’t booked in advance. Indeed we hadn’t booked in advance and there were no tickets on the website when looked, so we were so relieved when we asked the concierge about this. One of the highlights of our stay has to be the view from our balcony at night of the Bastille fireworks, this was simply outstanding and totally unexpected, an experience which we aim to replicate next year and will return. Arrived late at night having been given an entry code as the reception desk was closed. Self check in was easy, room was quiet clean and comfortable with nice tea and coffee making facilities. Hotel is located on a business park with good access roads to travel onwards to Paris & the south.

We booked for a short stay as we stopped on our way to Italy and I must say I was very happy with the choice. Room was very modern, very clean and spacious. Bathroom same. Very modern charging and light features. Staff was very nice and helpful. And also we enjoyed the food. Location is very good. So close to Versailles Palace and also not to far away from Paris. Very quiet and nice area. If we are ever back, definitely we will book again. Thank you!

Rented a suite and there's not even a closet to store your clothes. There is just 4 poor hangers for hanging shirts and dresses. In order to get an iron and an iron board, I had to go down to the front desk since nobody was answering the phone… Right in the middle of the shower, the water becomes suddenly boiling hot. Thinking the mixer was broken, I tried the water in the sink and I had the same issue: just no cold water at all anymore. Of course, this happens right in the middle of the shower. Called the front desk, but nobody was answering, while it was just late afternoon. The problem happened again the day after. The day of the departure, I left around 4.30am in order to go to the airport, and the garage door didn't open. There is no button to call the front desk, therefore I had to leave my car on the ramp and go walk to the front desk in order to ask for the door to be opened. The front desk man said ”oh, I though it would open by itself…” Coming back from the ride around 6am, I tried to call the front desk to get a taxi booking, but nobody answered the phone. I went down in the lobby and the hotel was literally empty. I went back to my room, tried again to call and after 10 minutes somebody picked-up the phone. I told him ”if you're asked by the taxi company where am I going, just tell them destination ABC”. To which he replied ”oh, you can tell the driver yourself when they will ask”. Clearly not listening. The day before leaving, I went to the bar for a dinner since there restaurant was closed… I ordered some food that was brought to me in a pot that was being opened right in front of me and just put in the plate. Just like that, in the pot with the branding and the list of ingredients… I ordered a cold cut plate and it was clearly not fresh at all: the camp was as hard as skin and discolored on the sides, the sauces were discolored as well, the cheese slices were glued one to another. The service is given to kids who have no sense of class or refinement, and they're not even shaved. The lamp that goes from the bar to the outside (which is located inside the bar) is covered with a massive spider net from. As compensation for the cold cut board, I was given a bottle of cheap Bordeaux.

The room was smaller than expected but the self checking system is convenient if you don't know the time arrival. The restaurant across the street was very good.

Worst hotel very unclean rooms, room service doesn't clean rooms, the room utilities are not working . worst staff including the manager, very arrogant people who doesn't understand what customer service is and they refuse to help with simple issues saying it is not there responsibility, they changed there policy without giving notice just because it is convenient, they even hang the phone on you while talking!!

A new hotel is very well organized super-home and very convenient not very far from Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Versailles ideal for visiting the castles around it in addition to a very well-freely Lyonian bouquets the Porc Matly , a very good stop for a small weekend

I stayed at this hotel for four weeks in June and July. My experience here was disappointing, starting from the moment that I checked in. My reservation stated that fees and taxes were included and the final amount to be paid at the hotel was shown. I reserved “connecting studios for 4 people” and I was charged an extra 210 Euros at check-in without being told. When I questioned this later, I was told that there is a tax of $2.50 per person per night and the reservation amount only included this tax for one person, so I was charged for the other 3 people at check-in. However, I was still overcharged. One person was under 18 and should not have been charged at all. Another person was leaving early. I was able to eventually get a partial refund because of this. When I chose this hotel, I was looking for one that had air conditioning, and this feature is stated on the website for the hotel. When we arrived, it was very hot in both rooms and the temperature cannot be adjusted in the room. When I tried to get the air conditioning fixed, I was told that the temperature cannot be decreased under 26 degrees Celsius (78.8 Fahrenheit). The temperature cannot be controlled from the room. Most of the time, it seemed that the A/C wasn’t even on, and I was so hot that I was sweating. I did notice that the temperature in the lobby was always much cooler than in our rooms though. If you are looking for a hotel with air conditioning, you won’t be comfortable here. The customer service varied greatly depending on who was at the front desk. Some people were great and some definitely were not. The rooms are only cleaned once per week, but I didn’t mind that. The hotel uses thin, papery mattress covers that seem to be disposable and continually slip off of the mattress. I found myself constantly trying to put the mattress covers and sheets back in place to avoid sleeping on the bare mattress. The covers tear very easily, which made it difficult. This was very annoying. Overall, our stay wasn’t horrible, but we didn’t enjoy this hotel and were happy to check out. I won’t stay here the next time that I am in Paris for an extended stay.
