Western Hills Motel

Underrated property with very comfy beds. A no-frills rest area in Versailles, MO. Somewhat limited room numbers (expansion is on the way, along with presumed upgrades to everything) and sparse accommodations could force a traveler to overlook the most important aspect of the stay: a comfy bed. They have a lot of these. Think 'best sleep you've had in weeks' kinda vibe. At the time of my recent stay here I had been on the road for quite a bit and the bed comfort level exceeded that of some $150-$300 rooms I had stayed at for work. If you have business in Versailles or slightly North/East or West of town, feel free to avoid the resort trappings of the lake to get a power sleep in to move on to the rest of your week. If you're looking into additional accommodations outside of decent coffee/clean room/comfy bed you will need to stay outside of town.

No frills, hotel This hotel is what I call a working mans hotel. Its clean-ish. They have updated the rooms and they are cleaner looking. Its a place with a table and chairs and basic kitchen. No frills. I wouldve appreciated no glitter left on the floor but im sure that stuff was hard to get out in the first place. It didnt seem like the floors were even mopped/swept because my youngest feet were black after walking around. However, did not appreciate finding eyelash extensions in my bedding. Im hoping the sheets were changed.

Ceiling above shower looked like large piece of it was gone, bathtub was nasty, looked like it had rustled under water spout and they tried to cover with paint but didn't work and floor of tub was dirty. Caulk on trim around bathtub looked smeared and nasty. Door on bathroom was so warped it wouldnt hardly close.

The rooms are being renovated and are very nice. There has been a full-sized refrigerator/freezer in every room I have stayed in so far, as well as a microwave, coffee pot, flat screened TV, and the air conditioning works great! There’s even a small outdoor pool to keep cool in. It’s also within 1/2 mile of a Walmart, and the local rodeo/horse show grounds are just across the street. The only drawback for others might be that all the rooms are non-smoking, and absolutely no pets are allowed. I, however, travel with a service dog, and the owner gave me no problem at all.

This guy wanted credit card 100 deposit plus 89. Plus tax to stay in this motel,what a laugh!!! Never go there again then all night long he trolled the side walk looking for smokers lol Beds were awful and springs coming threw,don't waste your money here since new owners took over!!

Me, my daughter, and 2 young grandsons stayed there on a Monday night. If you want a quiet night's sleep, in a comfortable bed, for a reasonable price, this is the place! We didn't stay in one of the newly renovated rooms, because they are changing to no smoking, even on the property. This will be a plus for many people. The on-site manager is very nice - we chatted for a while outside while the boys were playing with squirt guns.It was a great room for not being redone! Clean, comfortable beds, and quiet. The only problem we had was with the TV. Either the internet isn't so great up there, or the remote was having a tizzy fit, but we did make it work. We would stay there again - if they have any rooms for people who smoke outside. But I definitely recommend it.
