Kimpton Vero Beach Hotel and Spa

We were part of a group of over 30 family members who stayed for 4 nights. Our stay was amazing! The staff were incredibly attentive, rooms were spacious and clean, beach was beautiful, pool was relaxing, grounds were well maintained and food was delicious. We truly felt welcome and well cared for! Special thanks to management and staff for their outstanding hospitality!

Resort was super clean and well maintained. Has an amazing staff who is always willing to help and so kind!! We had a wonderful experience!! Can’t wait to go back!!

Because my experience was so bad, and after reading all the other reviews about the same stuff that was happening to me, as a business person, I said to myself, “how can this be? how does this place stay in business? and how does the manager, Mr. Sium, keep his job year after year? I too was faced with bait and switch, misleading room descriptions, upselling everything, a horrible food and dining experiences at both restaurants on property. This so called “luxury resort” is in a terrible state of disrepair, with visibly filthy surroundings, lies about early check in or no timely check at all…the list goes on and on. Then, on day two of my stay, I figured it out. I am not the market this hotel serves. This property sustains itself with a captive market of people with a bunch of kids and a bunch of dogs. I guess people with a bunch of kids and dogs don’t care whether check-in is past 4 PM, don’t mind looking at mold hanging from the balconies, stucco falling off the walls, gross hair and muck in the drains around the pool, stained, worn out furniture, no beach chairs after 9am. I can only surmise that large families with kids and dogs are thankful they can go anywhere that has a nice beach that will take them. I get it. It’s just not my idea of luxury. (good luck using the tiny pool that is saturated with small kids running around doing cannon balls next to you…IF you can get in the pool at all) My advice, if you stay at this place is not to leave your room, and if you do…head straight for the beach at 9am, get a chair and DON’T LEAVE. I suspect this resort will continue to get poor reviews from people like me who expect a luxury Kimpton experience, and Mr. Sium will issue repeated apologies on those reviews (watch for the apology on this review coming up soon…) , all the while knowing he doesn’t have to think about it longer than a short willy. I know this because I read the reviews about this property going back years and all I see is the same apology over and over while nothing is ever done. I know THIS because all the stuff in those reviews from years ago, happened to me. This week. That said, in all fairness to the staff, I’ll state the following: 1)The beach location is fantastic. It’s a beautiful beach , clean sand and water. 2) the resort fee includes the beach chairs towels and umbrellas ….but only if you can secure them before they run out at 9 am. My idea of a luxury vacation is not setting my alarm so I can secure a beach chair before 9 am 3) in-room housekeeping, valet and beach crew all great and responsive. I actually believe the staff genuinely tries to please but they’re all set up by management to fail, so no matter what they do, they’re overwhelmed and shooting against the odds. The bartender working at the pool side bar on a Wednesday was handling all of the drinks and food for everyone at the pool, everyone on the beach, the 12 seats at his bar, by himself. THE BIGGEST SCAM CATFISH HOTEL EVER – BEWARE! I don’t even know where to begin. This so called luxury resort in Vero Beach is nothing more than a glorified MOTEL with a fancy price tag. We paid $600 expecting a beautiful, high-end family getaway, and instead got a full-blown SCAM. We drove all the way from Orlando, excited for what we thought would be a relaxing vacation. The photos online made it look like a dreamy beachfront paradise they even show what looks like an infinity pool. Spoiler: THERE IS NO INFINITY POOL. Just a basic pool with creative photo angles. Catfished, plain and simple. To make matters worse, our room wasn’t even ready at 5:00 PM. Seriously?! Check-in is supposed to be at 3:00, and they’re still scrambling to get it ready two hours later? The staff didn’t seem to care, we don’t even got a call as the front desk promised to let us know the room was ready after they sent us to wait at the pool my husband need to go to the front and ask if the room was ready there was zero apology or compensation offered. For $600 a night, you’d expect at least the bare minimum — like, I don’t know, HAVING A ROOM TO STAY IN?? If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is a joke. Do NOT waste your time or money here. Save yourself the disappointment and go literally anywhere else.

My sister and her husband had a 1-night reservation today, for her birthday. They called me this early this afternoon and I thought it was to tell me they were checked in-I was wrong. They were driving back home and very disappointed that their weekend plans were ruined. The place was PACKED, to the point that both the small beach and pool areas were standing room only, people packed like sardines. They tried to get 2 beach chairs, which their resort package included, but there were none available, ditto for pool deck chairs. When they voiced their frustration with the front desk, they were told it was booked to capacity and there was nothing they could do. Instead of reimbursing them for the part of the fees that included the chairs, the manager offered to comp them a free lunch and give them 2 nights, but for a future date! This was ridiculous, because they live 3 hours south of Vero Beach. This resort clearly lacks the capacity to deliver what they promise and sell their guests. They also lack the concern for putting the customer first. I know it's a holiday weekend, but our family has stayed in hotels countless times on Memorial Day weekend and never had the problems they experienced today at Kimpton. There's no way they'll ever rebook there again.

What a wonderful stay we had at the Kimpton Vero Beach! The property is gorgeous, beachfront location and excellent views. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Super comfy bed! And beautifully maintained. As great as the property is....the Staff is what makes the entire experience exceptional! David greeting us at Valet and Ryan at the front desk. Warm, friendly, and so polite. We ate at Cobalt. I do not even know where to begin. Views, setting and decor- Lovely! Jonathan was our amazing server. Top notch!! He was so helpful on the menu selections and pairings. Sous Chef Taylor brought us a wonderful amuse-bouche - we hope it makes it to a menu soon! Breakfast the next morning was off the charts as well! And our server again was simply the best!!! (Apologize, I can't think of her name!) Amazing stay- can't wait to return. Thank you all.
