Canadas Best Value Inn and Suites Vernon

Stayed Aug 23-25 -check in process is ridiculous. Had to phone a number written on a post -it to get clerk to come back to office. No choice on room I got. Had to pay whole stay upfront (before even getting key) -Worker pounding on wall outside our room at 9 pm repairing something. Considering there is two signs on 2 different walls for a STOP WORK ORDER, I’m guessing that’s why they working so late (when an inspector won’t be on duty to see it?) Manish’ the clerk looks like he would just adjust his headset and get in his car and leave if the place was on fire. -Loud A/C unit - as soon as we entered the room, my wife and I always check for damage by others before us. There is a burn from someone who smoked in this NON SMOKING ROOM on the night stand and her lamp on her side of bed tilts to the side(see picture included)we took a video of it. We always document evidence (so they don’t try to charge us for it) The website shows a place for what I’m guess WAS a continental breakfast. I saw it days ago as breakfast on site(now it’s been removed) There is a sign on the door to it in lobby saying it’s closed due to repairs. -Would have liked more than 3 pillows on bed - half the towels other Hotels have in bathroom -parking was ok - no elevators -drop slot in door for your room keys upon checkout(another post it note on door saying no one there until 9)Even then, probably will have to call Manish after 9 and he will eventually come?

Very bad smell in the room of smoke .

Our room was dirty, dont think they even cleaned it . Found a cockroach and two other bugs in our room. Will never stay there again. Had to wait for the front desk person to arrive so we could check in.

The dirtiest, broken door frames, and sketchiest place ive ever been too.

They even don't care about you the guy who was on the front desk was on his phone all the time even when we check in there was a note on the door that the office open at 9:00 am but he was not there and when try to call him on the number that was provided on the note he was not picking and then after 20 minutes he was coming out from his room while talking on the phone and didn't even give us a call back he was just awful poor service
